Have been waiting just over a year for op, so am feeling both excited (at the prospect of having less pain eventually) and nervous (not knowing what the end outcome will be, and how long will need to recover).
Wish me luck!!!
I hope your surgery went well. I had mine on 29 March. Progressing well, moving slowly, a bit sore.

Re: NZ New Here TLH on 28th March 2018

(((Salmel))), it's nice to have you join HysterSisters! Hopefully you have had a chance to explore the many message boards which make up this community. You can connect with women from all over the world in the Post-Op Hysterectomy Support forum and start new threads there to ask questions that you may have. Share recovery updates with your surgery week HysterSisters on this thread.

As another reminder for those who have been a member for a while and to inform those who are new here, the Neighborhood forum is a place to share about topics of local interest. We have the Pre-Op forum for those who have not yet had surgery. Start new threads there to ask questions so that pre- and post-op members from all over the world will be able to share with you. Use the Post-Op Hysterectomy Support forum for questions about recovery, and visit your own Recovery Progress Reports thread to share recovery updates with those who had surgery the same week.

Enjoy getting to know each other here as you talk about topics other than surgery and recovery, and we'll look for you in the proper support forums for those concerns.

How’s the weather with you ladies?

I’m still tucked up in bed listening to the rain. It’s cold outside and absolutely hosing down (I’m in Christchurch).

Perfect for staying in and tucked up. Maybe even for watching the games. I’m not much into sport but it’s been quite fun to watch some of it.

Hope no one is in Taranaki and without power.

Might go and get a cup of tea and go back to bed.2.5 weeks till I go back to work. I’m getting used to this leisurely life!

Have a good day and I hope you are all feeling ok

Hi, I'm from Hamilton. Had my surgery done privately 6 days ago. Figured I'd end up having to have chemo as well if I joined the public waitlist with the underfunding and striking going on.
I hope you have recovered well from your surgery. I am being obedient to my specialist and body and relaxing a few weeks before getting back to work and exercise again. I have a pre-arranged 10km event at the end of September so if I r & r for another 3 weeks it should leave me 8 weeks training time to meet my goal.
