#1 hurts!! Bladder adhesions?

OK. So I had a c-section 5 months ago. This happened after my first two c-sections, too, but it _hurts_ when I pee!!! The first half emptying doesn't bother me, but the last bit makes me grab the walls next to me! Owie! I think I might have an adhesion or something. Have any of you had adhesion problems discovered in the hyst?

I've had bladder infections before and this is definitely a different beast. It doesn't burn, I don't have to go frequently, and the pain has remained consistently at the same level for the past 4 months.

My doc says if there's an adhesion, he separates the organs and sometimes it creates a small hole in the bladder for about 7 days, and that instead of stitching it up, he just has you keep the cathetar in for several more days (you go home with the lovely tube attached to your leg).

That's all well and good, but I'm just really hoping the pain doesn't remain the same after the surgery.... anyone out there who's had this problem?

#1 hurts!! Bladder adhesions?

I'm so sorry you're having pain like this!

When I had my hysterectomy, my bladder and uterus were adhered to each other with scar tissue (due two abdominal surgeries as an adult and one as a child). It took an additional hour to separate the two organs, but I did not end up with a hole in my bladder and I only had the catheter in for the first night after surgery.

It made my pre-op suffering much more understandable. I just thought that the aging process was making me have to go potty every two hours (day and night) -- and here my bladder was stretching along my growing uterus. Ouch.

I hope your surgery resolves the issue for you.

I'm glad that you understand this!! And thank you for telling me about your experience. I am going to hope that no damage is done to the bladder in the surgery and that the pain can be alleviated with this intervention.

I'm glad it worked out for you!! It's something I can live with if I must, but would be sooo nice not to.

Thanks again!
