Hysterectomy rescheduled and not happy

Just got a call from the doctors office and they are rescheduling my surgery from this Thursday to next Tuesday...If I was not stressed enough, this has sent me over the edge....my husband had already moved his schedule around and ways able to be home with me for 3 days...now he is not even sure he can be there next Tuesday...I am wondering if this happens often...I can't ask my daughter to take off work and travel home and then have that postponed too!!! I know it will all work out BUT not without adding stress it seems!!!

Why are you having the hysterectomy surgery? Maybe the postponement is a blessing. My surgery was postponed due to low blood levels, and if I knew then what I know now I would not have had the surgery. My partial hysterectomy was for benign reasons. If yours is not then I understand your frustration, but if it is for benign reasons have you had a second opinion, if not then use this time to do so. Good Luck!!

Rescheduling are so frustrating. I'm sure having your husband possibly unavailable is an added stress you don't need. It does happen, sometimes with even less warning, sad to say. I hope you are able to work out the details with your husband's work so he can be there.
