11 days and counting -smoker-any advice?

Looking for advice from other smokers that might help me. I got a slot from a cancelation and don't have much time to prepare. Thanks in advance.

I do not smoke so I cannot offer any personal advice. But, we have lots of ladies on this site. Hopefully one who does smoke will see this post and respond.

I am a former smoker and reading the easy way to stop smoking really helped by Alan Carr. I don't usually like that kind of book but there's something about this book that helped. I was the smoker that said I would never quit that I enjoyed it and I was still able to stop. Best of luck!

Hi. I'm a smoker and I have smoked for many years. I've also tried (unsuccessfully) many times to quit. I had my TLH Wednesday. I had no complications from smoking during my surgery, but every person is different. It's obviously best that you quit if you can beforehand, however, if you don't you can ask for the patch in the hospital during your stay. I did cut down tremendously in the week before surgery and went from a pack a day to 4 or 5 a day. I'm still not smoking as much as I was and hopefully this will be the beginning of the end of smoking for me. Good Luck and stay strong!!!!
