Where do our eggs go?

Sisters I was puzzled by this thought this morning? I plan on keeping my ovaries right? So where do all of our eggs go? I know that when we are born our ovaries have all the eggs they will ever produce in a lifetime, so where do they go or what happens to them? And could this be part of the reason we still pms symptoms after our hyst if we keep our ovaries? Anyone have an answer? Just pondering the thought.

Where do our eggs go?

Your body just absorbs them. Just like with men that have a vesectomy.

Where do our eggs go?

You body absorbs them. Actually ,the latest research is questioning whether "we're born with all the eggs we'll ever have". It may not be true after all.

Where do our eggs go?

Hi,

The egg will be released each month as usual, but your body just reabsorbs it. The egg is very tiny anyway, just about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

PMS still occurs because the ovaries are still secreting the normal hormones, just as they were before surgery. Though in some women (myself included), the PMS symptoms become milder as the months go by.

s,

Lisa
