Bad cough and stuffy nose.

I have a really bad cough and my nose is stuffed up. My surgery is Thursday. I am worried that they will cancel it. It's hard for my husband to get off work,and I have people to watch my daughters. There's no way I can afford to reschedule this surgery. I've heard that as long as your chest is clear and you're not running a fever they'll go ahead with the surgery. Does anyone know if this is true?

I know its going to be a huge hassle, but you don't want this surgery when you're ill... its hard enough already! I can't imagine having a cough with belly incisions. "They" only have your best interest in mind.. I know its hard to remember sometimes.
