12 hours left and getting nervous!!!!

Hi all...

Just finished packing a little bag of things I need to take to the Castle and I am really beginning to get nervous :-(!!! Im having a TAH tomorrow @ 7:30 am (ovaries and ALL) and I just want to get to the other side!!!

I know this is natural to be nervous, but my tummy is going everywhere with nerves !!! Plus this is my first REAL surgery. I had a Hysteroscopy a year and a half ago... but I obviously wasnt cut open! Thank god my doc will be going through the muscle instead of cutting!!!

Any tips on how to keep myself CALM??? PLEASE!!!!

I'd take a bubble bath (if you're allowed) and listen to some really relaxing music. Read the most boring book you can think of -- maybe you'll go to sleep!

It's so hard to relax at a time like this. Just keep repeating, "I'm gonna be a princess! I'm gonna be a princess!" like a mantra. Maybe it will work....

And if all else fails, just stay online -- someone is always online here.

Just try to keep focused on getting to the other side - and try to remember that what we imagine is almost always worse than what actually happens.

I know how nerve-racking it is. I was a nervous wreck, but my surgery and castle stay turned out 100% better than I expected. My pain level was very low - very little pain meds needed. All went very well - none of the things I imagined happened.

My prayers will go with you for a smooth surgery and castle stay.

GM Kitty: Just a few more hours and it will all be over and the new life as a begins. I just celebrated my first year . Good lucky with your surgery and we will look forward to seeing you back talking to your hyster sisters. Remember lots of rest when your return from the castle.
