8 days post-op *infection* surgery 2moro

I thought I was doing okay with the recovery home alone but knew that something was wrong the last 4 days with yellow-sweet-smelling fluid was staining the pads.

Finally able to see the surgeon today he did a quick, and painful, exam then a ultrasound. (He has the qualifications to read the results as well) Surgeon said its possible he nicked the urethra during the surgery and the pee is leaking out and the infection started that way. He also said something else is a possibility too but he would monitor me if that was a possibility and didn't say what he was thinking!

He told me to meet him tomorrow first thing in the AM for surgery at hospital.

He says he will have me put out and then he will insert a catheter, add black dye to see exactly where the leak is and fix it.

I am scared.

Catheter is in-black dye didn't help diagnose-had 3 ct scans with dye-waitn for results. Doc is wondering now if there's a nick done to bladder

Good news!
Doc looked at ct results and caNnot find a tear anywhere. So the assumption is "just" a bad infection. Stick to 2 antibiotics then see him in 2 weeks. What a relief and very long day
