I, too, am still having "bathroom issues". Now, at 3 weeks post-op, I really thought I'd have had all that behind me! (no pun intended ) I seem to be having trouble deciding if my bladder is full or empty, and the cramps (to let me know it's time to go -NOW-) and gas bubbles are still pretty bad. I've no trouble going (thank goodness for the small victories) just getting there!
At my 2 week post-op, I found out that my lovely 18 week+ uterus and fibroids weighed OVER 3 POUNDS!! You know I was hoping for 20...
I'm off to Florida for some well deserved r&r next week, Dr. said no problem with flying, just no carrying luggage!! YAY! What's the difference between recovering on a beach in FL or sitting on my couch in NJ??? About 40 degrees!!!
Seriously, I'm glad to hear that most of my "comrades" are doing fine, and for those that have had hiccups in their recoveries, please take care and know you have alot of good thoughts being channelled your way!

Work was very busy today, in fact my co worker said I picked a bad day to come back. But I work with a great bunch of people and got lots of hugs and attention and support. I didn't do any lifting. ( I kept waiting for nap time, but it never came.) I was tired, but didn't feel like I was pushing it.

I certainly will be getting to bed early tonight.

Hope everyone going back has a smooth transition.

Hi my favorite ladies...

I had a bit of a breakdown last night...the grief over my loss and other things going on in my mind led me to go get evaluated at the ER....I was really feeling unsafe. But after talking to someone for a good long time they sent me home and I am doing just fine. It was just a minor emotional breakdown.

That being said, I had my 1st post op appointment. Doc took off the steri-strips. He said everything looked good. He gave me a script for Tramadol because that helps with the pain but doesn't make me loopy.

He wants to see me again in two weeks and he will them examine me vaginally as well...NOT looking forward to that. I have to schedule a bone density scan so that we can track my bone situation and prevent osteoporosis, especially because I'm so young....though I don't feel young.

I went to Wal Mart today and bought cat stuff. I filled my living room with cat stuff so when my new kitty comes on Saturday she has an assortment of things to amuse herself with. I'm nervous about having someone else's cat and I hope she adjusts okay. I am going to do all I can to make her feel safe and comfortable.

I am also looking forward to getting my baby kitten in 8 weeks. I'm so impatient.

Anyway, I'm just all over the place and all that walking around has exhausted the heck out of me. It's only 9:10PM and I am going to hit the hay.

Hope you are all doing well.

Hugs and love,
Jenn

Jenn,
I'm sending you the biggest cyber hug I can muster. You are loved. I'm glad you went to the ER last night and had a good, long talk. You know, for what it's worth, sometimes I feel like if I start crying I just won't stop. I have no idea why especially as I view my surgery as a good thing. I just want you to know that you are not alone in being emotionally at sea. I'm sure on Saturday when you getting your new kitty, you'll start to feel better. There's nothing quite like the healing energy of a cat. I'd package up some of the kitty energy from my two cats and send it your way if I could.

s,
I had a bad case of diarrhea all night Saturday (no sleep) and into Sunday. My doctor thinks that the cramping caused the hole. I am not sure how long I am down. Until the bleeding stops for sure. It is slowing down today, thank God. I feel much better this evening than I have felt in a few days.

We're rooting for Portland State down my way. Should have recognized that by your signature you live relatively close to me.

We are practically neighbors! I live in SW Idaho, but born and raised in eastern Washington. So we are rooting for them all, WSU, BSU, Gonzaga, Portland State, and UofO. Should be fun!
