Not having the Divinci...:(

My surgery is tomorrow..at my preop last week the surgeon decided I wasnt a good candidate for the Divinci and I am having a regular? hysterectomy tomorrow morning..She said I was too small and complications might happen?
Im ok with this I guess and just ready now to get it behind me. The pressure in my belly is terrible..Anyone else had this pressure? Please tell me.

Re: Not having the Divinci...:(

I have it all the time. My abdomen feels different, but horrible, every day. I have pressure that pushed out, almost like gas, pressure that pushed down on my pelvic floor and cramps ALL day every day. I might wake up one day a month and feel good, not great, but good. I feel your pain sister and when this is all over we will feel better. Good Luck!!

Re: Not having the Divinci...:(

My pressure is up high..I actually had an ultra sound on Thursday to see if it was gall bladder and no its fine..I am convinced..(almost) that it is the enlarged uterus and it is pushing everything up and making me so uncomfortable..My surgeon doesnt agree and she says that I may wake up afterwards and that pressure is still there..I dont know..Guess I will know more tomorrow..
big sigh

Re: Not having the Divinci...:(

I had fibroids and they were pushing EVERYTHING up and out of place. My laproscopy incisions are 6" higher than normal because of this. I'm betting you will feel better after the surgery.

Regular as in laprascopic or abdominal? One is much more invasive than the other, so you may want to know what to expect. It's disappointing, but you'd rather have a successful surgery than have the surgeon attempt one but have to go to another mid-op!
I have that pressure; a few sips of water and I'm running to the bathroom, and my partial fibroid isn't even that big. I also have pinching and cramping; I suspect the pinching is my interior C-section scar.
Best of luck to you tomorrow and I hope you have a speedy recovery.
