Gas Pains

Surgery went well, I haven't needed any pain medication at all. I am suffering from EXTREME gas pains and nothing the doctor suggests has worked. My whole middle from my hip bones to under breast is full of gas pains. I've tried walking, drinking alot of everything, malaax, gas x, stool softeners (even though everything is moving well). What makes it worse is I have allergies, post nasal drip and a tickle in my throat that makes me cough. I'm being very careful not to cough, grabbing something to drink to stop the tickle. Does anyone have any suggestions!

Gas Pains

So sorry. The gas pains are HORRIBLE.

Try laying down on your left side. Bring your knees up a little bit. I even got down on my hands and knees. Walk around as much as you can tolerate. Keeping yourself moving usually helps keep the gas moving.

The gas-x and everything else you are doing is right on track.

You are at the worst part.

Keep moving!!!!

Gas Pains

I drank soda (ginger ale) and burped a lot and that seemed to help because I left the hospital the day after surgery and had no more gas pains since then.
