Whew! GOOD Report!

One year and one week after diagnosis--the CA125 is at its lowest--8.0! I nearly fainted, and I don't believe in fainting.

Tomorrow they are putting TPA, which is some chemical, in the port line, waiting an hour, and then removing it and this will hopefully clear it out so that blood will return. Also did a chest x-ray to be sure there's no pinching off of the line. Darn--that xray looked good to me! I want this port out.

I behaved very well and the police did not have to be called for my being disorderly. It is obvious, however, that my doctor and I go in opposite directions in certain issues which is OK with me--I think most are that way.

As a reward, I am now the proud custodian of a white, a red, a yellow, and an orange-y rose.

This is wonderful news! I am so happy for you.

As for the rose...as VickiA says....life is too short to live without roses. Enjoy~

I will still be praying for you and I am glad you behaved. Those cops are worse than the Pillow Police.

Waaaa HOO!!! Wonderful news!!! You really can't beat that! I'm so happy for you and I can certainly understand wanting that darn port out, gets old doesn't it!

So, you went rose shopping eh? JUST my kind of reward! In case you don't know what the gals are referring to, after completing my treatments last year I went absolutely NUTS on roses, that was my present to myself and they were also responsible for cheering me up tremendously.

I, ahem, ended up with about 70 or so in my yard which I'm now crossing my fingers that they will have all survived and will come back this year.

So, plant away and I'll visualize the smile on your face when they start blooming.

Vicki

P.S. Shhh, don't tell anyone but I've already bought 5 more this year and am axiously waiting to plant them.

Hi Vicki--I buy cut and don't plant...

I have the original "black thumb" except for petunias which I can always get to do well and weeds, which just thrive in my lawn!
I also splurged on not one, but TWO, bottles of Alternagel at $8.25 each--a wonderful aluminum only (no magnesium) antacid!
When all else fails, it works. Of course, as my doctor said (one of the things he doesn't agree with me on), coffee and M&M's is NOT a good breakfast & what do I expect with that--NO heartburn?
Laughing a lot here!
