Re: I am a mess

Thank you notbrave, I need all the prayers I can get, I m panickingfrom time to time but I try to relax and breathe. I have my two young children here that I have to put a strong face on for, I cannot let them see me sweat. I really don't kno what I would have done without finding this site. It has been my go to for strength and encouragement. As I have said before my hubby and I are each others support as far as family goes, we have no family to help with anything, we have the best friends people could ask for but everyone has their own family to take care of and careers. This sight has been a blessing, thank you all sooooo much for always being there for me. Love and hugs to all.

I went for what I thought was a problem with fibroids with excessive bleeding bouts - only to be told this Tuesday by the hospital that the thickening of the womb of 12 mm was the problem and they did a hysteroscopy there and then and I am now waiting for the results on 12 June - she said needed to check for C!

My mind is now going into overdrive - I would like to thank all the posters it is such a great support and I know it is going to help over the coming weeks
It is SOP to check the tissues for cancer. That happened to me as well - I had a ovarian cyst the size of a very, very, very large great fruit and numerous fibroids. They were checked for cancer during my TAH BSO - all was benign thankfully.

I know that this situation is so, so scary. Take a real deep breath, sweetie. It is very hard to do, but do not get ahead of your diagnosis and take this one step at a time. You are not alone in any of this - we are here for you.

For anyone worried about getting sick from the anesthesia, ask your anesthesiologist for the anti-nausea patch that they can put behind your ear. It stays there for 4 or 5 days and eliminates the sickness.

You must keep it behind your ear for the full 4 - 5 days. If you take it off too soon you can have what they call rebound vomitting. Also, once you take it off wash your hands thoroughly.

Hope this helps.

I m nervous about the same stuff, I get very sick from anesthesia so you can say I m a mess. I will be thinking of you.

Re: I am a mess

Regarding getting sick from anesthesia, Catherine's idea is a good one.

I also got sick from anesthesia, and told my doc. She gave me anti-nausea meds with my anesthesia and it worked well. Just let them know, and they can help one way or the other.

Good luck with all of your surgeries, I am sure all will go well.

We will be waiting for you on the other side.
