Have any of you got life insurance?

Hello Blondie,

I already had life insurance but with the upcoming surgery I am glad we have it. We purchased it because he works full time for the sherriffs office and I am the CEO of the household so we felt it was necessary. If something did happen to me we need the kids and house taken care of since DH would still work. I do have my fears about surgery since I have never had it so I remind my DH where the policy is and what he needs to do financially with it to make things work if something were to happen.

My DH is not worried. He has had surgeries before so he tells me I will be fine, but he humors me and tells me how he will buy a Hummer. His humor calms me down.

I think a policy is a great idea even if you were not going through surgery.

Have any of you got life insurance?

Blondie,

I have life insurance too. My mom bought a small 10,000 plan and recently my husband bought me a plan and a joint plan for the both of us. Thank goodness because now with the surgery and all of the other problems I had this last summer, I am now either uninsurable or would be rated expensive for a while. My husband is an insurance agent and I work with him so I know a little about being uninsurable. I am glad that I have the insurance so that if something did happen my family is taken care of.

I don't know if just the diagnosis makes me uninsurable or if having the surgery is the part that affects it. IF you are considering it, ask your agent about the costs and your diagnosis.
