GOOD LUCK TO ALL!.......YOU BE SO EXCITED WHEN ITS ALL OVER AND YOU ARE FEELING BETTER!.........I AM 5 1/2 WKS POST OP AND ALREADY HAVE SO MUCH MORE ENERGY THAN I HAVE HAD IN YEARS.

I'LL BE PRAYING FOR YOU! TO ALL OF YOU FOR BEING SO BRAVE!

I think it helps a lot knowing there are so many of you going in the same day as I am, having the same fears and doubts as I've had! Good luck and love to all of you, may we all be uneventful and feel great by Friday! (Hey, it could happen!)

I agree with the other ladies, I am looking forward to a life with no pain, but this fleet drink I am drinking for bowel preparation for the 21st, and trying not to upchuck, is pretty gross! I think I have caught my doctor in a lie when she said it wasn't that bad!!! ) I mixed it with Sprite, not a good idea! But I think nothing would be a good idea! Information is our strength, and I feel very strong after visiting here so often. I know my friends and family are weary of my constant babble and questions, but I feel very safe and free here to bear my soul, or read your comments and know that is what I was thinking! The nurse in preop asked me what was a fear I had about all of this. Me not opening my eyes was my reply. She wanted to know what they could do to help me most, control my pain was my answer. I am going to be fitted with a bulb that has anesethia in it and it will drip into my pelvic cavity for a few days after the surgery to keep everything numb and asleep so I won't have alot of pain after surgery. This bulb will have two tubes that will be inserted on each side of my lower abdoman. I thought that was pretty neat. I do not do pain very well, but I think I do pain better than this fleet drink!!
