One year post hysterectomy (kept ovaries): One breast bigger than the other?

I've noticed on the last few months one breast is starting to look bigger than the other. My husband can't see it but I can. Even my girlfriends have noticed when I ask them. I'm on Estradiol 1mg patch. It took me most of the year to gradually increase it to 1mg. My menopause symptoms r gone but now I'm thinking its too much. Has anyone else had this happen? I really don't want to end up lopsided I had my mammo and it was clear.

Re: One breast bigger than the other?

Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? It's good that you had a mammogram that came back clear.

It's not unusual for breast size to be unequal. It could be that your estrogen is causing a difference and if you really think you are getting too much estrogen, you could ask your doctor about gradually decreasing the dose to see if that makes a difference. The goal is to find the dose that controls menopause symptoms without side effects.

What side of your body do you wear the estradiol patch? If it is the same side as the larger breast, you can try switching sides and see if that evens things out, or ask your doctor.
Everyone has a little bit of differences on each side (I have one leg and arm longer than the other)

I alternate sides to my lower abdomen with each patch change. This is definitely new and the only thing that I could attribute it to is the estrogen. Thanks for answering. I just hope it doesn't continue lol. I haven't spoke to my doctor about it yet but I will be making an appointment next week for sure!
