10 years post op. I don't regret the decision to have a hysterectomy. Sometimes, I think back to the time when I had a normal period and appreciate the rhythmic cycle of womanhood. But, that rhythm went haywire for me years before my surgery. It became crystal clear that my body was not going to return to that rhythmic cycle. I had reached a point where surgery was my only option.
I had one big question though. When did I enter menopause? Was it done after my Lupron shots which was before my surgery? Or, was it happening when I had a few hot flashes later? My life was so much better after surgery that I can live without really knowing.
I hope that you have also found peace with your decisions. ❤

\My surgery was more than 22 years ago and I'm doing well. I can't take hormones and I'm still having some hot flashes, but that's better than having non-stop periods. I'm glad you're at peace with your decision and that you're feeling well after ten years.
