Had my surgery at B&W Hosp. 12/19/08

Hi:
Is anyone out there? Had my surgery at B&W hospital 12/19/08 and its been almost three weeks. I had the best doctor I could have ever hoped for. Even the nurses said I was very fortunate; he is the best at the Laparscopic sugery, and that he was their doctor also. I did have problems at the end of the first week with a normal BM also. I ended up going for an enema at the local ER at 3:30am!! But it was the best thing I did. I'm still patting myself on the back for the choice I made. After they took x-rays they said there would have been no way I could have passed it. I was too impacted. After inserting the fluid I had most of it out of my within a half hour. I will be forever grateful. I really took BM's for granted!! Week one, other than the BM problem was great with the meds. I decided to leave the meds behind and continued to feel great. I felt great like I didn't even have surgery. Week two, because I have an equilibrium disorder, I got very sea sick and dizzy and vomited a couple of times. Only a few nights ago I experienced real lower abdominal pain because I had overdone it. I ran around too much that day. I have felt great ever since then except that I overdid it today and saw a gush of red blood. I'm resting now and hope it clears up. Other than that, all Ive seen has been a pinkish white discharge. Feeling sad right now because I really need to get back to work but cant. I work for myself and therefore am not using sickdays!!!!! I go back to work this next Monday though.

I had surgery at B&W on Dec. 29th with a wonderful doctor as well. I am feeling better every day. I took the stool softeners they recommended and it helped a lot. I'm hoping that I feel good enough to go back to work soon because I don't want to wear out my benefits. This is the third surgery (the other two were unrelated) in less than 5 years. I hadn't seen the inside of an operating room since I was 10 (tonsils) then age 48 opened the flood gates!

Hi! I had my surgery at B+W's Jan 6th. Awesome doctor! At my post op appointment, I gave him a hug and told him he had changed my life forever. I even made him cookies! I'm feeling awesome!

Which doctor did you have? Was it for cancer or just for hyperplasia? I"m 15 months post op and clean of cancer. Dr. <oops! name of physician removed per site guidelines!> changed my life forever, and I am a happy almost grandmother (my daughter was due on Tuesday Feb. 2nd). Good luck to you and I hope you continue to do well!

Re: Had my surgery at B&W Hosp. 12/19/08

We can't say what doctors.... It started with an E and he sounded like he was from amsterdam or norway or something.

My surgery was for horrible periods, and horrible pain. No cancer. Just a massively dysfunctional uterus.

I feel better than I ever have since my periods first started. What a relief!
