Hot and cold, 11 days post hysterectomy
Ok, so I'm 11 days out and have felt really good. Today, though, I'm super tired and seem to be having hot AND cold flashes. No sign of fever. Is this normal?

Looks like you lost your ovaries so yep totally normal! I had hot flashes and night sweats until I started HRT.

Hi and welcome,
Since you’ve had your ovaries removed, these are probably the onset of surgical menopause symptoms. Please do not be alarmed. For many members, the hot flashes alternate with the cold spells.
You may want to discuss HRT options with your doctor 
In the meantime, dress and sleep in layers. Have a fan and blanket handy for relief.

I have my ovaries and I’m feeling this way. I think my ovaries were stunned by the surgery and haven’t snapped back into action yet
