My date is getting closer....

and I'm starting to freak out. I feel like my brain is playing tricks on me. I haven't had any pain for a couple of weeks now. I was diagnosed with Endometrios Stage 1 (through a Lap). So I'm having my hysto on 11/3 and it's a full one, ovaries and all. I'm worried about them taking my ovaries, cause I don't have any endometriosis on them right now, but because the endo can spread, etc., my doctor's say I should get everything done now (I'm 40), so I won't have to go back in eventually and have it done.

The whole hormone thing scares me, and I have an appt. with my gyno on Tuesday to talk to her about FDA approved biodentical hormones, because I don't want anything that has the risk of heart disease or breast cancer.

I'm just looking for some support here.

The time leading up to the surgery is very difficult. You will think about it more than you think about anything else. It's impossible not to.

But, the fear is much worse than the hyst itself. I promise!

I am 40 also and am currently not on HRT. I haven't had any major menopause symptoms so my doesn't think I need it. It's definitely an individual choice and lots of women take them. So, you just have to make the decision that is best for you.
