MAC Anesthesia?



Greetings, everyone,

I'm scheduled for my procedure on June 30th. I've been told that my medical facility uses MAC anesthesia...all I know about that is what I have read on the internet, and it sounds a bit scary. While I like the concept of not having an endotracheal tube (I'm a singer, and I worry about my vocal chords), the thought of being aware during surgery is making me a little anxious.

I'd be grateful for any advice-
