Ablation/Sling 3 weeks ago, RAVH 3 weeks from now
Hi everyone,
I love this site and thought I would stop the lurking and start posting!
Here's my story...Complained for several years about horrible periods, anemia, etc. My doctor finally suggested an ablation and a bladder sling for other issues. I was thrilled at the possibility of feeling better finally.
My doctor did not perform an endometrial biopsy prior to recommending the ablation. Mistake. Mistake. Mistake. Before she started the ablation she performed a D&C. About a week after my surgery, pathology results came back as hyperplasia with atypia. SOOOOO, low and behold, I needed a hysterectomy to begin with!. Can you tell I'm frustrated and actually sort of honkerblonked at the doc these days?
I now have a gyn/onc (thanks to seeing this recommendation over & over on hystersisters) who will perform my surgery with the daVinci system on August 18th.
A bit nervous, mostly about recovering with the very full, crazy life I live. Really just read to get it all over with.

So glad that you have found the site helpful to you.
Also very glad to hear you are seeing a gyn/onc. Nerves are to be expected everybody has them.
