Started back to the child sitting job today I have a 1 year old--a 2 year old-- and a 3 year old. the two in the middle are boys one a bully and the other a sissy what a combo and the older ones sister is just a trouble maker! But what can you do--- I'm so lucky I have a DD at home yet to help out in between her work and everything else. Think they challenged me a bit today . Having a Vaginal H. was easier than most of you have had it , I don't feel as I really have anything to complain about in conparison to some of you out there! It is easy tho to forget what has happened on the inside until too late. Glad to have my 2 week check up Friday, I need to ge to the point that I can lift more than 10#. So off to bed to try it all over again tomorrow 5:30 A.M. comes awful early. Hope everyone has a good night !!!! Brenda (52) TVH Kept ovaries and tubes (Fibroids and Adenomyosis)

Hi fellow TVH - I feel bad complaining about my "little" complaints while others have had it harder. My mom had an TAH 2 days before me.... she's had it harder and still not out of pjs. Yesterday evening started with some jabbing pain on lower right side of my belly, and this morning is was as bad as ever... what is that? Kind of concerned, but don't want to overreact. I've not lost any weight, gained a little, too. My husband tries to help.... but sure wish mom was able - I'd have rested much more, I'm sure.

Mom had her surgery for uterine cancer. My doc told me I was "going down that road" with the hyperplasia, so I'm totally glad I had my surgery!!

My thots and prayers are with all of you!! Rest and take care of yourselves!!!

TVH - hyperplasia/prolapsed uterus

I hear ya!

I find all my pain comes from Gas...........as soon as I get up and start walking. It all goes a way. What I have now is a very itchy belly. My skin is so dry! Is this part of it all?

Alittle honkerblonked off today, but no pain.

Extending my leave to October 1st (was going to try to go back Monday, 9/10). Even though I'm feeling better after a week and a half I seem to be the only one that is trying to get back to work after 2 weeks. Also, I arranged for my own sub, sent work, went up to the school days before my surgery to make sure everything was straight and that has been completely botched.

So at this point, I care about my job about as much as they apparently care about me and I'm concentrating on full recovery (regardless of how normal I look).

Is it just me or has this experience taught anyone else who your real friends are in a crisis situation? I swear I'll know next time something like this ever happens.

ule, I was wondering how you were going to go back to teaching on the 10th. My Dr. has me out until Oct 3rd and I have been helping out from home with calls and e-mails to my fellow counselors and parents. I to was in and have been checking on students schedules. For the first time they got a replacement for a counselor........don't know what she will do since it is hard she does not know the kids or parents.....at times I don't understand my district. I hope to perhaps go in two days the week of the 24th and than back the following week. I feel good but tired and want to do things. Hope you are doing better. Take care Petrina

Going back 2 weeks was based on the myomectomy I was supposed to have and not the TAH that I ended up having. I too feel much better and there isn't the lethargy or pain I had last week. I don't need the vicodin or ibubrofen like I did previously and I'm able to cautiously drive a few blocks. I can even sneeze without busting a gutt. But internally, there's still alittle lump that potrudes from one of my stitches and the area is still tender to touch. I get alittle tired after doing chores and I'm not regular yet. So I'm taking full advantage and going for total health.

I had my two-week today and basically told the Dr. that I was ready to go back in two weeks. He extended my absence from work until Oct 1st so that gives me a couple more weeks to heal. So true - about feeling and looking good to the outside world - but I need a nap everyday and I'm getting sharp pains when I stand up or bend over. Dr. didn't seem too concerned about that. I was also worried about my job - I work as an Exec. Adm. Asst for the Plant Mgr but he hasn't even bothered to call and check up on me so I guess I shouldn't worry about him either.....

Are you sure that you want to go back to work in two weeks. We all
need aleast six weeks. I am still having bleeding and abdominal pains.
I have to take a cat scan tomorrow to see what is going on. My surgery
was aug 13 and my return date to work is sept 26. I will be glad
when my belly goes back down and the shooting pains stop. Please
take care of your self.
