Good for you. Take it easy walking through that airport. A cruise will be beautiful.

Tomorrow I go on my first official outting to a fundraiser/fashion show. I plan to get lots of rest during the day so I don't appear lethargic and wiped that evening. I'm allitle worried about how my clothes will fit but I've got a snazzy outfit picked out though

Have fun Ule, I am sure you will look beautiful in that snazzy outfit Well fellow sisters--I went back to work yesterday and it was pretty difficult to say the least. I am an office RN and the standing all day really got to me and my swelly belly!!! Came home, crashed on the couch and went back today praying it would be a little better and thankfully it was--but I only work 6 hours as opposed to 8. I did ask them to change my schedule to maximum 5 hours for the next two weeks so I don't have to kill myself and not heal properly--they said they would!! I still have swelly belly--anyone else still swollen out there after 3 weeks? I can fit into my clothes but they are rather snug which is uncomfortable. Wishing you all the best in your recovery.

I had my surgery three weeks yesterday, and yes still having swelly belly issues, tiring easy, but somethings are much better. For one thing, right now I would be in the midst of another long period, or at least pms with no period, depending on my body. For another thing, I can now finally plan on redoing my house and spending time with my dd without having to worry about said period or pms. Also hormones seem to be evening out, so only problem now is to listen to body and not overdo it. All in All couldnt be happier I had surgery done.

Yes, I have to remember the pain and problems when I get fustrated that I still have to take it easy!!!!!!! Life would be different right now if I did not make these changes three weeks ago!!!!!! I do feel great and am happy to be out and about and driving a little. Read the info. that was sent out yesterday by this site and took a lot of it to heart.......take it easy and heal well or there may be problems down the line. Hope all my sisters are having a good day.........good luck to those who have gone back to work!!!!!

It's noon and I'm back in bed. Got up at 5am, fired off some letters and went down to put them in the mailbox, had protein drink, iron tablet and multivitamin and fell back out 'til 9:00. Laid there (watching Oprah and The View) until 11:00, had lunch and I'm back in bed 'til 3:00. Trying to rest up for my outting tonight. Thank god I did my hair yesterday...that's always a chore. (btw, it's not falling out like the first week post-op). The only thing making me feel productive today is the fact that I did a mailing this morning.

I've also found that I can get into my clothes easily but the area where the stitches are hates anything rubbing against it. Hoping my outfit is not uncomfortable tonight.

Ok.... I'm now 3 weeks post-op as of yesterday. My stomach is aching constantly the past few days. Feel some relief when i take my blue jeans off, but still there. Now a little nauseous while driving to pick up my son at preschool. If I had a TVH (kept ovaries), can I get swelly belly? and If so, can I still be getting it? Why is my belly aching again? I would normally have had my cycle now (due yesterda)..... could I still get cramps? wouldn't think I would.

Hmm, well I am doing ok, bored out of my skull. Have an infection, but it is being treated, and generally just bored... I am so over this now... can't wait until I no longer have pain or discharge and I can live... right now I am simply in limbo and am counting days.

You just put into words how I feel. Hanging in Limbo. Don't feel well enough to do much. Not allowed to do much. Bored to tears. It's getting very old!

Anyone else?

I'm just over 3 weeks post-op and having sharp stomach pains. Severe enough that they woke up me up last night. I've been on the couch w/ the heating pad most of the day. Is anyone else experiencing this? I also feel bloated and swelly again, where that seemed to be so much better before. Don't know if this is normal ... or if I should be worried.

It's so hard to know if you're doing too much. I know I did some lifting this week that I shouldn't have. But, I've taken it easy since. I took a walk yesterday, but I've been walking almost everyday.

I thought I'd feel better than this by now. Maybe I was feeling so lousy before surgery that I was pleasantly surprised at how I felt immediately after, but now impatience is setting in... ??? I just don't know. I see where Ltrotta went back to work - wow! - at this point, I can't imagine being on my feet all day...

Ule - have a great time this evening!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm also having severe stomach pains - feels burning and then very sharp. Has me doubled over at times. Very frustrating since I'm 3-1/2 weeks out from my LAVH and bladder surgery. Have been walking a mile every day - do you think that would do it? I called my Dr. but he wasn't concerned just prescribed some different pain pills.
