She also made me an appointment for this Monday to see the doctor. Friday, I did do some spotting but none on Friday evening until Saturday at 9:40 when I started bleeding and passing clots the size of a half dollar. I soaked 2 1/2 pads within 40 minutes. My husband took me to the E.R. From the time I left home to the time I got to the hospital (25 minutes) I soak another pad, my underware and the pants I was wearing. When I took the pants off to change into a gown their was another clot that looked like a piece of liver on my pad. It was the largest one yet. I laid in the E.R. room from 11:30 to 4:30. A (NEW) Nurse Practitioner came in to ask questions to see if I had done anything that would have caused stitches to break. Of course I told her no! She then checked my heart and then she left to go and call my doctor. she came back two hours later stating she she has not been able to get in touch with the doctor, but that she will go ahead and do a pelvic exam and look at the stitches. Her comment was, I don't see any broken stitches and no bleeding, but I will continue to try and get hold of the doctor. By 4:00 the bleeding stopped so I told them since they could not find my doctor or didn't know who was covering for him, I would just go home since the bleeding had stopped. So far this A.M. the bleeding has not started back. The only thing I can think of that happened was that my body needed to pass these clots that were in there that may have broken off. It was scary because it was bright red bleeding!! I'll keep all my sister posted after I see the doctor tomorrow in his office. (If he's there!!) LadyMargaret
I know that I would have a fit that my doctor was not there. You were very strong. Today I over did it walking
the dog for a long distance, made potatoe salad, fold
clothes and wash them. Now I am still having bleeding
and a shooting pain in my virgina area. I will have to slow
down big time. Please keep me posted on what the doctor
said about the blood clots. Mines did some lab work on
me to determine if I were having the clots to. I pray that
everything will be ok.

Sister C, thanks for your prayers. It never hurts to have the great physician on your side. I'll keep you posted. In the meanwhile, it sounds like your body is trying to tell you to take it easy for awhile. Pamper yourself and rest. Lady M.

OMG!!! I am so glad you are ok. I would have completely freaked out! I went back to work week 3 for 3 days and was bleeding bright red blood by the fourth. Besides going back to work in high heels, I also pushed a cart during that time. I had really felt great and haven't been on any pain meds for two weeks. Now I feel like crap and have to go to the doctor's office in the morning. I was alreadt told that I could not go to work tomorrow and after I see my doctor he will probably keep me off of work longer. I only went back to work week 3 b/c I had the LSH and was told I should be fine by then. I felt fine so I went. I guess my doctor put 4 -6 weeks on my paperwork for a reason.

ok, sisters..........got some strange news....... .On Sept. 5th I started itching my belly on the side didn't think anything of it infact I posted that I had these two red blotches. Well here we are Sept. 17th and I am itching like crazy....red blotches on my legs stomach and top of private area. Went to Dr. and he confirmed what I thought Ring Worm!!!!!! He says its a yeast infection and for some reason my body is producing a lot of yeast...he did an internal exam. Good news he said I am doing wonderful......I asked about going back to work after the five week mark and he said we can discuss it on Monday the 24 when I have my follow up appt. He told me he never sends anyone back before five weeks with a TAH can cause bleeding and other internal problems with the stiches. So his advise is still to take it easy, no lifting, walking is good and rest. So I will continue to follow and put on this great cream for the itch!!!!!!!

Sisters, This ones for the books!

Sisters, this one is for the books. Went to the doctor today and it was just as I thought. No torn stitches and no bleeding. Since I had not had any type of what I would call discharge since surgery, it all broke apart when I started bleeding and passing clots. It was my bodies way of getting rid of all the post-op gook all at one time. Whew I must admit I am relieved. I can get back with my recovery phase. Thank you all for your concern and thank you all for being there for me. Lady M

Hi Petrina!!.......So glad you finally figured out what that "dam rash" is and hopefully it will clear up soon......I had unexplained hives last year all over my body..whatever I would get on one side would pop up on the other...they were round or oval and itched like crazy...3 rounds of steroids and 2 allergy meds and they still did not go away.scratch tests and all and no one could tell me what it was...finally my doc gave me some type of steroid shot and they disappeared although I still take the 2 allergie meds each day for fear it will come back.....the itching was the worst thing ever as you could never sleep............anyway, hopefully otherwise you are feeling well

LadyM...so glad it was nothing serious!!

I am almost 4wks post op and these last 5 days I have been more tired than I was the first few weeks....I just laid down after dinner and had to take a power nap for 1/2 hour and I never nap...yesterday I went back to bed all afternoon and napped on and off.......my body sure knows how to keep me in check!!!........Happy healing

hi Ladies!

I just wanted to let you know that Princess Bea will not be closing the Progress Recovery thread. Instead, once ya'll have reached the 8 week time of recovery, we will simply move this thread to our Clubhouse so you can remain together, continuing your friendships.

However, please remember....if you have questions about your surgery, please start a new thread in post-op forum. AND please remain in the post-op forum to help our newer members with their questions.

Carry on!
