Labellarubia - here's another fantastic website called www.drawspace.com.
This has drawing lessons from beginner to advanced and the lessons are presented in such a simplified step-by-step manner that it's almost impossible to not create gorgeous drawings - EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU CAN'T DRAW!

This is truly an amazing website, so all you hystersisters who are looking for something to do while recuperating, grab a pencil and check it out!
Viewing on-line is free, so you can sit and draw until your heart's content.

And, Ule, perhaps you could use this for your class.

Happy healing to all.

Hi ladies- The above link I sent you doesn't open the website properly and you can only view the first page of the lesson so please don't use it. You'll have to type it in your browser. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Swelly, owie belly

Second day back at work. Soreness set in around 2pm and my left side is really aching. The left side has been the problematic side since day one. May have to take some Motrin.

I wore a support undie thingie ("Assets" from Target) today for the first time and I'm not sure if it hurt or helped. Holy cow, when I took it off, my belly rolled to freedom with a force you wouldn't believe. Way swelly today. Sounds pretty attractive, eh?? I know. And, I have my first Weight Watchers weigh in tomorrow! Let's hope I'm less swollen and bloaty. Ugh.

Still.... feeling worlds better than before surgery, so I'm not complaining (much).

I have a few of those support thingies that I wore before surgery....I still have swelly belly..I mistakenly thought it was gone for a few days last week...LOL...I am just afraid to wear it yet as there is a sensitive spot or two on my abdomen where 2 of the 4 incisions are....I am afraid that after an hour or so I will be in pain, so I opted to buy a few pair of bigger pants instead....a little tired last few days....I am only going to be working 10 hrs this week and for the next few weeks until one of the girls move than I can pick up Saturdays and may be working almost 20hrs per week ......after being home for 4 years it still is going to take some getting used to....I worked 18 hrs 2 weeks ago and handled that well...It was my first time back and I was just filling in for someone on vacation...hope everyone else is getting back into the swing of things

Hey Rita and everyone else!!!!! Glad to hear we all are moving onto life. I have been back to work starting my second full week......it has been great.

Trying to catch up with my paperwork and seeing students but glad to be back. Not much pain a little tired at times.

Going back after four years will take time hope it all works out.

I cannot get to the message boards at work they have them blocked. Just wanted to drop a note and catch up with eveyone. I will try to go back and read so I can see progress.

Good health to all and I hope to stop by soon.

I just learned I go back next week. I'm still having the pricklies in my belly. I guess they are nerves trying to heal.
Sucky part is I go back, work a full day 8 hours then I'm in the car for another 3 hours! YUCK!

I'm not looking forward to it.

Had my 6-week post-op last week. Had blood work done to test hormone levels. Got them back and found I have reached menopause...surgical menopause. My one little remaining left ovary hasn't figured out it's job. My estrogen level is so low, it's a 5. Progesterone is at 0.2, FSH is 140. Had more blood drawn today to test testosterone and DHEA levels. Discussed HRT with my doctor. We went over the risks of going either way. Since breast cancer and ovarian cancer do not run in my family, I have decided on natural HRT. This will help with hot flashes, energy level, irritability, sex drive, vaginal dryness, sleeping through the night, and bone issues. My family has a lot of fair, small woman putting us all at higher risk of osteoperosis. So, I need the estrogen. We will do this for now and see how long I need to be on HRT. My own levels may come back up on their own after more time passes. I read an article saying that breast cancer risk was higher in women who reached menopause naturally than surgically. However, I have found in my research there is a lot of conflicting information regarding HRT vs. not to HRT. I think it boils down to a personal decision and risk factor that each woman is comfortable with. Often times in many things in life we fix one problem and create a new problem!

I'm having a mammogram and bone density test next week as routine.

Will then meet the compounding specialist for my unique HRT combination.

I'm thinking of all my hyster sisters! It's wonderful we have made it to the 6-8 week point. It's an ongoing journey. Just think of the perseverance and character we are building! The support here is wonderful.

Hi Petrina....I know you must be thrilled to be back at work and functioning again!!....I have been looking for a post from you and glad to see you are doing great...I worked 5 hours tonite and it actually was fun once I got there...although, I had a little temper tantrum before work while I was home alone trying to find something to wear...I can laugh about it now!!....Yes, I know it will take some getting used to, but really I feel guilty...I only have to work maybe 20hrs a week and I get to laugh the whole time I am there and get paid for it too!!!...So maybe it won't be so bad after all!
