I couldn't agree with you more! I can't believe how quickly the time has passed since surgery. August seems like forever ago, but my body is good about reminding me when I've overdone it or need to rest. Still have some jabbing pains now and then, but overall, I'm happy with the way things are going.

Glad you're doing well, too! Enjoy your rest day!

I am worried about working the jail after I come off of light duty because I am not sure I feel up into getting inato a confrontation with a prisoner. I will just take it one day at a time for now. I will keep all of you in my prayers. Take care of yourselves.

I hope your first day back went well. Please do take it easy, and keep us posted!

Well we made it. Hope everything is going well with everyone. My first day of work was rough. I was fine for the first few hours then I got tired and my belly started hurting. I got to work with the one person I don't get along with so that made it for an even longer night. We sat there for 8 hours and hardly spoke to each other. At least everyone else seemed happy to have me back. By the time I got home I went to bed. Yeah I get to do it all over again today. I love it when eople asked me how my vacation was. Some vacation.

Luvmyk9,

Well, at least you're over the hump and have that first day out of the way. Sorry you had to spend so many hours with someone unpleasant.

Here's to better days ahead! Take your time and take it easy.

Recovery WooooHoooo

I was released form my Dr. on 10-6-07. He told me that I had healed perfect. I let him know that was because of my mama. She watched me like a hawk and didn't let me do anything!!! She had her surgery 15 years ago and she helped me sooooo much. She told me what to expect and helped me deal with alot of the emotional stuff.

I was able to climb back in the truck with my husband. I haven't slowed down since. I spent my first two weeks back in the truck and I am loving it!!!!!!

While out we were up north I had to wear long pants. I was able to get into my jeans and had no problems.

I wanted everyone to know how much this site helped and the support from everyone is awesome.

2-months Post-Op Today...

...and I feel pretty normal. I haven't thought about a period nor do I feel like a part of me is missing. My feet still aren't the same after being in heels...so I slip on a pair of house slippers when there's no one in the classroom but me. The incision made at my bikini line has gone down in terms of swelling but there is still a marked line (red).
My medications have been in the medicine cabinet for almost a month and a half. (I popped a vicodin the other day because I was having trouble getting to sleep. It knocked me out allright but there was the usual constipation the next day that a jug of water had to remedy).

Still don't have much energy after work. Occasionally, I make a stop to the store on the way home but most days I go straight there, eat, shower, run off copies of work for the kids, check email. watch tv and piddle around on the net 'til I fall asleep. (should be passing out soon).

My weight is back to normal and stable. no more or less than pre-op.

Thank god for this site and for you all letting me vent when I couldn't share with others. I still haven't told anyone on my job what I was out for.

I, too, still don't have a lot of energy by end of day, and am having trouble waking up in morning.... maybe too much sleep. Was feeling pretty good for about 5 days as far as discomfort, was becoming regular, then I scrubbed my kitchen floor... now I have a belly ache again... but also was having trouble going to bathroom like I was swollen inside.... sodon't know which is the cause of the discomfort . First couple of intimate times with hubby was tender, but things improved... YAY! 3 times this past week, so if TMI... hehehe.... could that be why I'm sore? lol Gonna take a break and find out..

I'm so glad to hear everyone is doing relatively sooooo well. Keep healing ladies!

So glad for this site and all the support each of us give each other.
