I'm having a terrible day... am in serious pain. I went to work, but sat with a heating pad all day - took Motrin, but don't know that it helped. My belly hasn't hurt like this since about week 3 post-op.

I don't know if this could be from raking leaves on Sunday...? I sure hope I didn't do any damage internally. I'm pretty miserable. If things aren't better tomorrow, I guess I'll call the doctor.

On the bright side, today was Weight Watchers - I've lost another 2.6 lbs -- this makes 20 since surgery.

Ann...my guess is that your pain is from leaf raking....I washed my newly tiled floor on my hands and knees 2 weeks ago and could not believe the pain and discomfort I had for days afterwards...I took a prescription Motrin a few times and I hadn't done that in at least a month and a half.....these are muscles that we haven't really used that much over the last few months so we have to ease back in still slowly.....hope you are feeling better soon and hopefully it is nothing more than very sore muscles.....congrats on your weight loss....very cool....I have probably gained 10 lbs back..so I am giving up chocolate again...LOL

Beautiful! (on the weight loss) Are you just doing w.w. or are you doing something else too? I've lost about 11 lbs. since surgery, but haven't been doing much to keep up the losing. And I still have another few weeks before I get the go ahead from my gall bladder surgery last week. But I am doing much better.

Sorry to hear your hurting again. Hope you start feeling better very soon.

Take care.

Thanks for your support and well wishes, everyone. I decided to stay home today, and I'm glad I did. I just laid around w/ the heating pad all day, resting.

I have a feeling this is a combination of things. The raking, combined with the fact that I fell down 4 or 5 hardwood steps last week and hurt my tail bone pretty bad, AND, I've been super gassy and "stopped up". I took some laxatives last night, and that helped with *that* part of the problem. I'm still hurting, but I think I'm on the mend...

Regarding the weight loss, I'd lost quite a bit after surgery and before starting Weight Watchers, but I'm trying to take off another 20lbs now...it's the stubborn 20 that really doesn't want to come off. I need to get back to exercising; I've been walking, but now the weather is getting cold. I have to be honest, though, based on the last couple of days, I'm hesitant about starting back at the gym.

I think I'll spend through the weekend taking it as easy as I can, and go from there.

Thanks again for being there when I needed someone.

You had your hyster the same day as me, and I can't *imagine* having another surgery so soon ... hopefully, they did your gall bladder laproscopically, but holy cow, that's still a lot!! Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Hahaha! Don't tempt me, Rita. I'm on the verge of running away from home, and New Jersey is as good a place as any!! If I can drop the 20 lbs on the way, that's just a bonus!

Aside from the physical crap, I'm also dealing with a job situation that just plain sucks and a mother with Alzheimer's that decided to have a meltdown today.

On the bright side (and I'm trying really, really hard to look at the bright side!!), my dear daughter (THE Ohio State University Class of 2007) just got hired today as a personal trainer at Bally's Total Fitness.

Yeah, they did it laproscopically, and I had my first post op check up today. All is good and I'll be at 80% in 3 1/2 weeks. I wouldn't wish another surgery this soon on any one! lol
