I experienced something new yesterday. My incision was pulling like crazy. It felt like someone was stabbing me! It was only when I moved a certain way. Eventually it stopped but it hurt like the dickens! My hubby probably thought "Oh great, another surgery complaint!"

The vaginal stitches still haven't made an appearance. I am starting to wonder if they will ever come out.

I can't believe it, it will be 4 weeks tomorrow! I am so happy! We have made it over the hardest part! Take care, Ladies!

4 weeks today for me. Still no sign of stitches... I am begining to think my doc just glued me everywhere. Still feeling all PMS-y. 2 of my incisions have been feeling like I am getting stabbed with a needle at random. Haven't been able to tie it to anything in particular. *sigh* I can't wait until I am back to feeling like me.

I am 4 weeks today too. Personally I don't think I will have any stitch pass since I had TAH, I think all my stitches are inside. As for random pains my Dr. said it is just the stitches dissolving and pulling as my muscles try to rebuild themselves. I have been doing a lot of cleaning today and I am starting to feel as close to "normal" as possible. I take a lot of breaks though. I have company coming and no one is home today (including the in-laws. Thank God for small favors!)
I have been having a lot of back pain so I lay on a heating pad 2 times a day. I have a massage scheduled for Wednesday. Yippy! My DH arranged it for me, so I am thankful he is still being thoughtful and not get tired of me being laid up.

Ok, time to get back to cleaning. All of you have a great day!

I have my 6weeks check up tomorrow. Riding in a car still kills me, it feels like everything is jiggeling!!!!! We drove to FT Worth, 100 miles away on Friday and I was beat. I have more pain on my right side than anywhere else. I also have some tightness in the vaginal area, could this be stitches pulling? Had to have an anterior repair also which is lifting the vaginal floor back to where it should be. DH is counting down the days, he thought by 4 weeks I should be feeling better, it is hard to explain to him that there is so much more to this. I have several friends who are nurses and they say not to expect feeling really good for 2 mo. I can't wait to feel good. I have so much coming up in Oct, Nov and Dec I need to be 100%.

Butterfly, I had a LAVH and kept my ovaries on the 12th, just 2 days behind you. I am wondering if my ovaries are asleep or it is normal to be extra emotional. Are you emotional? I too feel very pmsish...I am so ready to feel good. Isn't that the reason we did the surgery, to feel good. I am tired a lot!! Today is my 39th bday, I have a sick kid at home and it is raining!!!

So, if you have a TAH you won't see the stitches? I have been watching for them and wondering where they were. Boy, do I feel stupid!!

Christy,

Please drink lots of water in the couple of days prior to and after your massage. You don't want to overload your system with too much toxicity from the massage as it can really wear you down. (I'm an LMT)

I'm 4 weeks tomorrow. Pain wise I have some shooting pains from what I've been reading it must be normal.

I do say I don't feel that good emotional or nearly back to myself. Without ovaries and on my second HRT I wonder what normal will be. I get mild headaches and the sleep thing is bad. I was up every hour last night and at 3am couldn't get back to sleep. I just took a xanax this morning to relax a bit and rested some.

My house looks pretty bad better go clean it. I feel like I'm a walking zombie and in the fog.
