Did any of you get a band to go around you stomach and site from the hospital? I did (it might be close to the same thing they sell on this site.), and I wear it to bed and around the house some, but to bed every night. It does help with the swollen belly some. I have not drove it. My doctor said no until 2 weeks. I am going to try and go eat tonight with my husband, but I know I will be worn out later. Hugs to all.

Take Gas-X

My surgeon was going to prescribe something for gas but I told hijm I had already bought Gas-X and he said it isn't much different that the prescribed version but to take double the dosage as prescribed on the box. I didn't have too much gas but the Gas-X did help when I did.

Well I had the chills and achey joints last night. Low grade fever. Today woke with a headache. The gas has started again and direarrea(sp?)
Food was not a problem, but now nothing sounds good. Laid low today.
Sitting on the shower chair in the shower has helped relax my headaches and rest. Guess I overdid this week. Had a doctor appt with my primary care for my diabetes. Doing well with that through all of this.

as far as bowel movement goes - it is a mission to keep everything soft!
am eating lots of apricots - the dried ones softened in boiling water so can also use the juice. the gas-x is amazing and i have had absolutely no problem with wind.
am amazed at how lying down definitley helps. too much sitting and walking takes it out of me.

Another night down and each one gets easier. No pain just pulling when switching positions.
I really have to watch how much I do because I can see me doing something stupid this week with not having any measurable pain,
Yes I feel stuff twinges, pulls stabs even aches but nothing I haven't worked through before LOL

jjcj, I feel just like you do!

I agree with you guys that say being up and doing too much can be really, really tiring. It's kinda hard to figure out how much to do because we're supposed to be up and walking and not just laying around. I guess with trial and error we'll find that balance! (That's my philosophy of life--everything needs to be in balance!)

Here's to good healing, sisters!!

A little milestone....

This morning is the first morning I didn't have to use my hands and arms to lower myself down onto the toilet!

Hey, it's not much but when you are where we are at the moment, this is a big deal!
