That is definitly a sign of a blood clot, especially if it hurts more if you point your toes towards your nose. Don't wait, call your doctor right away! At the very least they should do an ultra sound to check.

Thanks Redhorsey. I'm going to the doc today, so I'll be sure to ask about the leg pain.

ok ladies I think today I get something a little more potent then prune juice prunes and activia yogurt.
I ate a bag of prunes almost a entire litre of juice and my yogurt and had 1 bm in 3 days. Uggggggg I wanted to go natural but not happening.
Other then that good. I didn't nap yesterday so was tired and tried to watch the CFL games ( football) by night I was tired cranky and not wanting to be talked to LOL funny last night hubby wanted to talk for hours.I hurt his feelings but heck what about mine leave me alone.
All is fine this morning slept through the night having my tea and quiet time at computer where nobody bugs me LOL.
Oh and at 12 days out still nothing on the spotting weird but won't panic if I do I read it could be stitches dissolving.

Wow! Two weeks today. In some ways it seems like the surgery was so long ago. I find it so hard to believe that it was a mere 14 days ago that I had a uterus and was heading off the hospital.

Today is the first day on my own. DH went back to work. He was almost giddy about it. The nerve! I cried this morning thinking about how much I will miss having him around. I'm crying now as I'm typing. I'm also scared because I realize that now I must get back to some semblance of a real life. I have to drive no matter how much it might hurt because I have to pick up the kids at school. I can't allow myself to nap during the day because there will be no one to fall back on to get the kids if I can't wake up. I am staring at piles of laundry, unmade beds, and dirty floors, and though I know I shouldn't do these things, now that there is no one to yell at me to stop, I know that I'll break all the rules. I won't take care of me, I simply can't.

I have sooooooo much respect for those of you sisters that have been going this alone. I don't know how you have found the strength to get through your recovery and deal with all your complications relying on just yourselves. I am truly in awe of you. Three cheers for you amazing women!

Back to work today

Had my LSH/BSO and Leep procedure on November 6. Went home that night around 9p.m. Day 5-had 101.6 temp called dr. went to see him- I had a sinus, bladder and wound infection, he gave me cepro. Feeling better by the weekend. BM are still painful but they are coming everyday.

Went back to work today. Am already so tired, and the day is only !/3 over. Still some soreness and discharge from the wound, but dr says it will gradually get better.

Having hot flashes and night sweats and crying at the drop of a hat. dr wants to wait on hormone replacement due to hystory of breast cancer in my family.

Thank all of you for your support and my best wishes to all of you.

cAmich...take it easy!

I know that it is hard- I have left piles all over because I know I can't do it and DH has to deal with it or not have underwear! It works! He didn't stay home and finally his whites ran out and I told him- go wash a load! The dishes piled up- and we ran out of stuff and he got the hint. I poured the cat food from the counter and it went all over the floor and after he picked it up, he realized finally that maybe he should take care of the cat. SIGH! He actually stopped me from doing stuff this weekend- it took a breakdown on my part! So I know its hard- but leave the stuff for now!

As for naps- take them! If no one else can pick up the kids- set an alarm clock near you while you are napping so you for sure get up- keep resting- you need it. I'm about to go lie down because I just overdid cause I am going nuts with the piles and I think I pulled too much. I'm really bad about taking care of me too...so I can relate!

Please! Is it possible you can call Merry Maids and have them for a day??? Of course I don't know if you are rich or poor or inbetween, but no matter what, I am practically begging you not to do that kind of heavy housework yet. Those internal stitches need to heal for at least another week before you start doing that stuff.

Take a few minutes when you're calmer and think about what you typed: "I won't take care of me; I simply can't." What would you say to your daughter or son if they said that to you? You would tell them that you gotta take good care of yourself because you're the best one to do it.

Sit down with hubby and figure out what you can do right now, what you can't do, and what you're afraid or reluctant to do. Factor in what your Dr has told you, be creative, and come up with a plan for you, and for your household. Involve your kids and let them know what is going on--they can help and it will probably make them feel like they're contributing to Mom's recovery. And by doing this, you're setting a great example for your children of how to really take care of yourself, so that they can model that as they grow up.

I'm sure you're just feeling sad, but you know that if your husband likes his job, he's happy to get back there---which takes nothing away from you. Just realize that this is another transition in this journey we call life, and that you're gonna be alone in the daytime now. Ask hubby to do things in the evenings to make it easier for you the next day. I got my brother (who stayed with me for a few days after my surgery) to get 2 huge pans and put the dogs' and cats' food in them so I wouldn't have to bend over and fill their bowls daily. Put pots and pans up on the stove and not beneath so you can get to them easily.

You can do this and you will be fine.
