Beginning of week 3! Yeah. Survived the surgery with a little extra blood from some friends. Please become a blood donor if you are not already. It does save lives. It saved mine! Doc ended up taking everything. I thought that might happen so I am ok with it. Funny thing though he could not find my appendix. Mmmmm. Recovery is good, but get bored easily and it is very hard to sit still! So many things I want to do, but I resist. It helps reading on here and seeing how everyone else is doing. Just a general question for those princesses who went ahead of me...how long did you have to take over the counter pain meds? I still take about two alieve a day, but really want to stop taking anything.

Morning guys rough weekend here but not with me my 16yo son did a stupid thing and I was up from 1230am frinight till last night at about 10pm
He survives after staying in er til Sat morning and I spent all night on a horrible chair and wondering halls. Then all day on phone looking for answers or help.

Anyways taking it easy today I hope. Watching some football CFL greycup and lounging in my chair.

Heeling wise is still good but that little hole hurt last night so cleaned it good and went to bed.

hope those still hurting turn the corner today and start feeling great

Hi Cidwolf, so sorry you're having a rough go...hope today is better for you. My TAH was on Nov. 8 and I've discovered that this isn't a cake walk. Each day brings a new challenge and I either feel better or worse. My motto is one day at a time. Wishing you well and sending healing energy from Ontario, Canada!

jmary
ty for your concern. With everything i've read i'm not experiencing anything that others haven't.I think my frustration lies in the fact that i cant stand do nothingness.I had another surgery in august and had just spent 8 weeks on couch do to complications.I'm planning on driving today and going to church.Hopefully getting out of the house will help.Nervous because i will soon be own my own again as son must return to own life.I am however very happy i had the surgery because i believe once ive recovered my ife will drastically improve

I am finding this group a little late in the game. I had a LVAH on 11/7 and stayed the night in the hospital. They took one enlarged/extremely cystic ovary but left the other. Found non cancerous fibroids, endometriosis also. Almost 3 weeks post and still in discomfomfort when walking, sitting up and steps. Anyone else feeling this way?

Hey all! I thought I was taking it easy on Thanksgiving, but apparently I did a little too much---I believe it was all the excitement, the walking/grocery shopping the day before, and the sitting up and not laying down to rest most of Thankgiving Day. I've been sore for a couple of days now around my incision and right below, but today is better.

I'm still feeling that my appetite isn't what it used to be. And I still can eat only about 3/4 of what I used to, and then I feel really bloated and uncomfortable, like after a huge meal. Anybody else feel this way?

Katie, wish not eating was my problem. I have been eating everything in sight and I know I'm going to be really sorry afterwards. My appetite is unbelievable!
