Hi chickette2- I know how you feel about being left out of the "hanky panky" scene. My dh and I didn't have it prior to my surgery and I don't see my gyno until Jan. 11th (8 weeks post op and 1 day after dh's bday) and now on top of this comedy, my dh has pinched his sciatic nerve so we may never have sex again. lol. (not kidding about the sciatic nerve but am kidding about the never having sex again, it will just take some time for him to heal now).
We had a romantic date set up and now it looks like it will be placed on hold a little longer. (I was really looking forward to the date as it was for a couples massage (75 minutes long), dinner at our favorite restaurant and then either to the Casino or a movie).
I have been up and going more and more though and I did pick up my dd as she had the flu the other day. Glad it happened now instead of earlier in my recovery especially now that dh's back is out. I took out the Christmas tree the other day and carried to our composting pile as well and seem to have had no ill effects.
As for the "venting" issue we all do it and we all need to and it seems to be acceptable and helpful on this site to do just that.

Thanks for the encouragement chickette2, I'm feeling a lot better today.. Just sitting at home enjoying the peace and quiet since my 18yr son isn't here. Oh by the way my beau beau asked me to obtain a Visa, guess I'll be seeing Korea sometime next year...

Seems like surgery never happened and like I always say, this too shall pass and it has. This was a piece of cake for me and now that I'm lifiting the grandsons again and getting my hugs I'm happy. The only thing negative was the stupidest thing but I developed an ingrown hair in the pubic area which turned into a rip roaring staph infection. I finally realized it was septic and went to urgent care. A caring female nurse practitioner lanced it and drained alot of pus out of it and packed it. Two subsequent visits and heavy duty antibiotic shot and pills seems to have this under control. I'm still waiting for the culture report to come back to see exactly what it was. I joked that I survived the surgery but I'll die of an ingrown hair! Not pleasant at all. A happy and healthy New Years to all you gals.

hi everyone hope you all have a happy and painless new year that is what I am looking forward to. Since we are down south we don't have the chance to smowmobile so we decided to go ride the 4 wheelers think this was a big mistake. I am sore today and didn't do any climbing just played in a little mud (yes i know i am a true southern girl LOL). anyway i made it through the surgery fast and easy so sure i will get over this pain to!!

shoulder pain anyone?

I am feeling right back to normal (though no hanky panky, even if it were available, till next check-up on 16th). But I wonder if anyone else has had shoulder pain? I awoke with it after surgery... no other pain at all and it keeps coming back. Good luck to all those gals back at work. I am semi-retired but rather bored by it now that all that wonderful support immediatley post-op has finished. hugs all round

I am starting week 7 and I really do feel great! I am pleasantly surprised everytime I see my almost flat belly. I can not believe it was all GYN related. I am back to work full time and the job itself is like I was never gone but I feel so much better. I can handle all the annoyances better.

I do have some mild aches and pains. Like the shoulder pain mentioned by Erpie. I am trying to do stretches on a regular bases and I have increased by potassium intake.

I am looking forward to myself and all my sisters here having a wonderful NEW YEAR!
