swelly belly!

I was interested to find on this site that even those with TVH can get swelly belly due to internal swelling. I have been very upset not to be able to get into the jeans I used to wear even though the scales tell me I have only put on a couple of pounds. There is hope yet!

Because of the internal stitches for hoisting my bladder back into position, I am not allowed any hanky panky yet.

Still have the bad shoulder, though it comes and goes. It seems like a trapped tendon.. what did they do to me in surgery I wonder?

Otherwise, I feel fine though depressed (long past menopause so cant be hormones, can it??)

This site is wonderful. Love to all.

Hi all. Well, first day of work today. It wasn't so bad. I'm a bit stiff and sore so I am heading to bed early. There are moments when I feel quite good and am looking forward to how I will feel all the time when I heal all the way.

Good morning! I'm starting to get back into a more regular routine--yesterday my friend and I walked 2 miles--the first time I've done any long walking since my surgery. It felt good although later in the evening my legs were sore from the inactivity over the past 2 months.

I'm still spotting occasionally--I'll go a day or two with nothing and then I have a little spotting--anyone else encountering this?

I had my TVH on November 19th and still having some light brown/yellowish discharge. From what I have read, this could go on for several months. I also have swelling in my belly.

my TVH was 12 Nov and I had steady discharge, of all colours, until after my surgeon did a cauterisation at 5 and a half weeks as part of me was not healing. A week later all discharge finished. Have you two ladies had a check-up?

Walking is great.. makes you feel better and gets the BMs going!

I saw my GP today about shoulder and neck pain. He referred me to a phsyio as he said it was a trapped nerve due to the way I must have been handled in surgery. (I awoke from anaesthetic with it, but no other pain due to all the painkillers presumably. It is worse now that I am driving and it prevents me sleeping at night). I looked for a thread on the site about this but the only discussion is some years ago.

Hi ladies!! Wednesday was my first day back to work and it took me 15mins to remember password to log into my pc and then another 10mins to remember what my email user id and password was, but overall it went pretty good except by noon I needed a nap. I didn't realize how much I was on a routine while off work for those 7wks. Thursday was okay but I did get a little tired from walking the floor (meaning I assist people in our resource room with their resumes)... At noon I still needed to take my daily nap. My boss informed me that I could take half an hour lunch's and leave 30mins early from work next week to help get myself back into the flow of things. I didn't realize how hard it would be getting your self back into working after being off for so long. Today I get the opportunity to leave at noon today but I have to work tomorrow (Sat) at one of our other centers from 9am -1pm.. It's a good thing because I do have a few errands to run this afternoon lucky me... Wishing you all have a wonderful and safe weekend....
