Had my two week post op today (it's actually been 12 days) and things are great! I was cleared for light exercises, including light hand weights (no more than 15 lbs). He told me no core exercising for another 4 weeks or so. That's okay. Just exercising alone is a breath of fresh air. Love it! I'm healing well, no problems to report whatsoever. Haven't taken anything for pain since day 2 (not even ibuprofen). Do feel slight spasms every now and then but they're not painful. More like a braxton hix.

Navywife, ouch! so sorry. Hope it heals quickly ....

It's nice to hear that others are doing so well! It's day 15 and I can't believe how much better I feel each day now. Today was a great day. Had 12 hours of sleep last night & feel wonderful today. Got outside for a short walk and didn't feel exhausted. I want to try some light yoga just to stretch the muscles, but know I need to be careful. Not normally a person who just sit around, so it's hard to not do the things I want to do. But I know it's short-term. So looking forward to being normal once again! Can empathize with Jeannieelaine about the bleeding, though. Had stopped all spotting a week ago, then started again. But, my doctor said it's the internal stitches being shed. But, I should be used to that frustration. I was post menopausal when I started having severe bleeding on and off. After going through almost 2 years of alternative treatments unsuccessfully, I decided to just have it all out and done with. There were simply too many gyn problems to try to "fix" without a hysterectomy. It will feel wonderful not having my daily life disrupted by sudden hemmoraging anymore. It seems almost too good to be true! Hope everyone is feeling so much better!!!

2 weeks

Well I have enjoyed reading over your post today. They have lifted my spirits. I go back to the doctor tomorrow. I told them on Monday to just put me a bed in the storage closet since I practically live there. I am still swollen and really bruised. The whale is starting to turn yellow and fade a little, but I think he spit Jonah out right over my pubic bone, that whole area looks as dark as a plum and is quite swollen. I can't even touch the skin without it hurting. The doctor did say the blood would move and take the route of least resistance. I figure since I have been sitting on my bottom so much that it should go there. I think I now have a bigger stomach than bottom. Maybe I should just wear my pants backwards. I only take extra strength tylenol instead of the pain meds. The pain reminds me not to lift or do anything stupid. I hopefully will get my pathology report back tomorrow. I think it got lost in the mail along with my blood test. I am happy to report that at least my students don't have to wait 2 weeks to get there results on test. Anyway, I am being good except I couldn't stay away from the mexican food, but at least this time I did not eat the jalepenos. I will post tomorrow after the doctor's appointment. As always take care and I enjoy reading all the post.

I am so new here that i do not know what a thread is or even how to respond to these messages. I had a total hyster on March 5th, kept both ovaries. I had a laprascopic, only 3 cuts were made with no bleeding. I was in extreme pain after my surgery and even Demoral would not cut the pain, so they gave me more pain meds in my IV...I came home that same day from Day Surgery and that was not fun..If anyone can help me with these message and how to rsvp, it would be appreciated..Thanks Donna...ilovelavender62

Well it has been 2 weeks. And I see RM3 that you went to the doctor. Did he or she say anything about the pain in the side. I had some major pelvic pain the other night and called the clinic the next day, because this pain was pretty bad. Well the nurse said that it sounded normal, and she would leave the doctor a note and he would call. Well he did not call and then he called today while I was at work. Of course he did not call back. I almost want to scream having to deal with the military. I would have called the clinic again, but I figured the doc would call this afternoon after I got home since the nurse noted not to call before 3:30. Everyone tells me that I over did it. Just wanted to gripe. But one good thing, my hubby is finally coming home for the weekend. Happy Spring everyone. And I am on break too.

I asked the very same questions you did. I know that we just update our progress here and occasionally gripe to get things off our chest. I too had laproscopic surgery. Only I had some complications. You can ask any of your questions in the new reply section under post op. section which is a different area. I am sure the site moderator will respond to your message also. She was a big help to me. You can even send private email to members with in the site if you want to ask a specific question to that sister. The best way to get questions answered is to ask them in the other section. It bumps them to the top so all sisters can see. Read as many post as you can because you will find that most likely somebody is going through or has gone through what you are feeling while you are on the hormone rollercoaster. I hope this helps a little bit and again welcome. We all started where you are so hang in there and know that you are not alone.

Hey Ladies Day 12 TAH for me. Having a wonderful day, went out to lunch with a friend and to a couple of shops and tonight I will attempt a movie at a theatre. I seem to just have back aches and pinching/burning feeling on the interior of the incision. Not sure what it is other than a constant reminder I have to go SLOW!
ilovelavender welcome this site has been great help to me because I am sharing with sisters in the same boat, very comforting and amusng too!
After my big day today I am better I will want to sleep all day tomorrow, but that is okay too! I am all set for Easter, hope you have a lovely weekend.

hi Vanark, and all the other sissies out there that are in the same boat as me..I have not ventured out of the house much, just to go to the store and the DR's to have my staples out last week. I feel ok, not always tired out and weak. I take things really slow because i am usually always in a hyper-mode! I have another 2-3 weeks off work and will have to get out of the house more. Even if its to the store and back. I am so glad that i do not have to deal with any more heavy periods and my 9cm fibroid and endomitriosis...I am happy to make pals with any sister that is available...Will write more later loves lavender
