Spygoddess,

Glad you have perked up today, and are solving court cases already. We had our snow last week, and have bright sunshine now. Have a good day, enjoy your supper. That was a brave move to shave your head...hope you raised lots for your charity. Sorry you've picked up my weight...lol, it'll disappear soon I'm sure!! None of us are at our best yet...but we will be soon. Beware World...lololol. Anyway, have a great evening and speak soon... :-)

Thank you so much. I can't even imagine my baby being 31. I know it will be here sooner than I think. My youngest is 7, so I still have a little while to go. I also have a 9 and a 13 year old.

I wish I could take a bath. My doctor said 6-8 weeks. Boo Hoo Hoo. I asked my son what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said he wanted to have family taco night. How sweet is that? I have opted for Taco Bell. Less work for me and with the 6 of us, cheaper too.

A nice cold beer or two would be good too. I guess it will have to wait since I will be taking some pain medication for this achiness in my girlie area. YIKES!

It is beautiful outside here. Nice and sunny. Sometimes it sure is good to live in Florida. Give me a month or so and I'll be complaining about the heat.

Where in Florida? I'm a third generation South Florida native. However, the Navy has transplanted us to Virginia. We love it here. We have absolutely no desire to move back the the heat and humidity that South Florida offers. :-)

I guess I did a little too much yesterday (for me anyway). My "girlie parts" are achy today, too. I guess I figured since I had finally stopped bleeding I should be doing more. So, I did two loads of laundry, straigtened up my bedroom, sorted my mail basket, straightened up my bathroom, argued with my 17 yo about his girlfriend needing to move back home, argued with my 22 yo about how she is progressing on her degree, and argued with my dh about whether he was going to spend the night at the house or in our RV (we've been separated on and off for the last year). Yesterday, the emotional stress was worse than the physical. Today, I'm afraid it is going to be both. <<<<sigh>>>>

Anyhow.....I'm going to get my hair done this afternoon. We'll see how that goes.

Toodles,

Good morning all...

I woke up feeling a little better and you have all put a big smile on my face.

I can relate to the eating all day long. I keep looking in the refrigerator as if someone put more food in there since the last time I checked!

My doctor told me that my uterus weighed 780gms. He said a normal uterus weighs about 80gms. Wow! But if you do the math I believe that's only about 2 lbs. So now the rest is up to me. Guess he did his part!

I got my hair done at the salon the Sat before Easter. I was concerned about leaning back for the shampoo bowl. But it was fine.

I am going to spend some time today pulling together my work clothes. I have to practice walking in heels again. I've pretty much been wearing slippers everyday. I know my coats fit better. I can button them again. So I have high hopes for my work outfits. Hope I'm not in for a big let down. I'll let you know !

I feel so lucky to have all of you

crying basket case, know you all will understand

okay ladies I am back from one doctor. UGH. I decided to go to my GP because the OB office implied that it wasn't his area to deal with.
I get there and the receptionists says I need to see the doctor because he is more familiar with DVT (deep vein thrombosis) I woul have prefered to see the PA whom I dearly love. Anyway the doctor thinks it okay for me to see a PA but it is a new one. A) she doesn't know me B) she came from pediatrics, and believe I wasn't a baby until I left and C) I wanted to see my PA

Anyway she diagnosis a DVT and tells me to stay off my feet and get a doppler sonogram today. So I get sent to another room to wait for when I am to have the test. The nurse comes back and says that I am to have the test on Friday. Well I ain't no dummy. If it is just a cramp due to potassium defiency then I can massage and apply heat etc. but if it is a DVT then the treatment is a whole lot different.
I proceeded to tell the nurse if it wasn't so important that I the test could wait until late Friday (which means no results until Monday), then I was going back to work for Wednesday and Thursday. He said that if it was a DVT then I shouldn't work. I then told him that if it was only a cramp that I couldn't justify just sitting (which got me into this mess) around for 3 days.

Here is my question Was I rude? He went and talk to the doctor directly and my test is stat, today at 3:00. I also requested my follow up to be with my PA and not the new one.

Thanks for letting me vent. I have not had any crying spells until today. I know my health is more important but I also need to work. I did not put in for a leave of absence.

Wow.....seems everyone's husbands have stopped doing things!! Mine, too!! lol

I am feeling pretty good for the most part. I am getting my hair cut and colored Saturday, so hopefully that will help with the "pretty" part.

I already am having more energy than I did before surgery. I had been bleeding non stop since September 2007. My doc had tried a cryoablation (which obviously didn't work), and then tried with hormones and a depo-vera shot, which just absolutely made me a serious crazy woman. I was mean to my children and that is where I told him "no more".

My mom said the dark circles under my eyes are so much better than they used to be. People used to think that I had gottne into a fight.

Around 5-6pm, I start to get a little tired, and then I'm ready for bed around 10. I'm having a hard time sleeping....and I still have both ovaries.
Anyone else having this?

I have lost a few pounds......my appetite is not what it used to be, but with things being re-arranged like they have been, I guess that is to be expected.

Take care ladies.

My day is going ok physically, but not too good mentally!
I've really had a hard time sleeping the last 2 nights. I try very hard not to nod off during the evening...so I can save it for later, and sleep thru the night. Hubby told me last night when he changed the bandages that my incision looks so much better...still have half the staples in. I'm still oozing and the one hysterectomy opening appears to be getting better, at least it's not a greenish/yellowish color gunk. My tummy is soooo tender today, and just when I get into a comfortable position in the recliner, there goes the burning stabbing pains. Walked around the house again for about 20 min, and that helped the movement south for a good bm! :-)
I was very proud of myself last night because I made DH a very yummy meatloaf. I wanted to thank him for taking good care of me. He loves to make meatloaf sandwiches also.
After reading some of the postings, I feel so behind in my healing. I can't even imagine going back to work right now. I still get so tired, yet, like others, have said they thought they'd be able to get alot done by now.l
Yes, I also have felt that I am doing so good, but then the next day, it feels like the first day home.
Here's my mental anguish. I feel like I'm being a bit harrassed from work. My boss calls and asks when I will be coming back. HELLO??? How do I know that? I had told her last week that I wouldn't know until my appt THIS Thurs, and yes, I will be sure to get a statement for FMLA, etc. I'm having a run-in with the benefits dept also. They seem to say I should be terminated due to my lack of hours in Jan. Well, I gave them all the paperwork that was needed to show that I had been ill, and then hospitalized, doc appts for d&c, more doc appts. I was NOT sitting home eating bon bons, for pete's sake!!! Just talked with the benefits rep, and she asking again for paperwork. What the heck did she do with everything we faxed earlier???!! And then when I opened my check, I see the GM had entered my hours as a total of 80hrs. WRONGO!! I was very upset, and I let her know that. She had been instructed by HER boss, after I talked with him, that because my normal work week is only 32hrs, that she was to put in ONLY a total of 64hrs. This would allow my accrued vacation time to last longer during my absence.
Ladies....sorry....I had to vent! Sending out hugs to all and wishes for a great week.

DeniseS

I live in Spring Hill, Florida. It is about 45 minutes north of Tampa. I hear you about the humidity and crazy hot summers. I wouldn't trade it for a cold winter though. I am dying to work on my tan, but I just don't feel up to it yet. I guess that probably sounds crazy since all I would be doing is laying there. I think it is the heat though. I tried laying out once last week. I don't have a pad on my lounge chair either and it was a little too hard for me. Where at in South Florida did you live?

I hope you have a nice visit to the hair dressers. I hardly ever go get my hair done. I never like it when I get it cut. It always makes me feel worse about myself instead of better.

As for the clothes issue making some of you feel frumpy from lounging in sweats and stuff, it is pretty much usual for me. Not regular sweats, but I LOVE the sweat capris. I wear them all the time anyways. They really have so many different cute ones anymore. Even Walmart has some adorable ones for $10. I guess maybe because I have so many it doesn't bother me to wear them. I pretty much live in those, drawstring shorts and lowrise capris made with stretchy material. (denim, khaki, etc.) I am all about comfort. Of course looking cute doesn't hurt either.

As for going back to work, I am glad that is at least one thing I do not have to worry about. I am a stay at home mom of 4 and am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Criminology. Fortunately, the classes I am taking are through The University of South Florida online so I have been able to keep up on them. My teachers gave me a postponement on the exams until I was able to focus better from all the meds. Thank goodness. I was able to make those up last week since the fog cleared even to concentrate.

Hi Group, I'm "new" here as of today, but glad to have found this group!

I'm 54, and as my name here implies, I've been post-menopause for two years. I'm 4 weeks post-op today. I had a vaginal hysterectomy with cystocele and rectocele repair, bladder support and alot of interior grafting according to my doctor on March 4. I'm feeling pretty good, just get run-down quickly. (I told a friend that I feel like an old rechargeable battery. I can still recharge, but can't hold the charge for long! My only complaint is the gas, which seems to be pretty common, and diahrrea for the past two weeks. Besides that, I've had this crystal clear, thick but odorless discharge. Not painful, but very annoying! I go back to work in two more weeks and I'm already worrying about it. Besides the gas and now wearing full size pads instead of the minis, now I'm running to the bathroom constantly, I'm not sure that my work clothes will fit comfortably. I feel very bloated.

Good luck and speedy recovery to everyone here!
