Gas-X or Not???

I have been told by many people that the gas I have after my TAH-BSO is going to be rough. Has anyone ever taken Gas_x while in the castle to help with this? I am considering packing some in my bag to take with me???

Gas-X or Not???

I was given chewable gasX while in the hospital (it was the first thing they brought me when I started taking meds by mouth).

It's not a bad idea at all to bring it with you, but don't take them without discussing it with your doc when they visit you after surgery. If they include them with your regular meds, you'll definitely wanna take them back home with you!

Take care.

Please check with your dr and the hospital before taking anything. You never know what interaction even over the counter meds can cause.

The hospital where I was didn't allow anything that they didn't administer themselves. That way, they were aware of all that I was taking in case of reactions to anything. It was a good precaution - I had a reaction to morphine!

So, please check first.

They should be giving you something for the gas. Ask and make sure. I know I didn't receive any while in the castle. I stocked up on phazyme long ago. It has been a life savior from the minute I returned home. Believe me when I tell you -- you will want, need something desperately for the gas.
