Just curious about why you would leave or keep cervix if having hyster? Also, I am leaving one ovary and DR states this should supply 85% of hormone function and is usually sufficient so no HRT. Anyone with different stories?

I was given the option of keeping the cervix. It is offered to women who have always had clear pap tests only. It helps to keep the structure of the pelvis intact as you dont need to cut the ligaments as much if you keep it. But if you do keep it you will need to have pap tests every two years as normal.

In the end I decided to have it all removed but you will need to think about what is best for you.

I understand that one ovary is all you need!
