just found out 11 days ago that i have a prolapsed uterus

I was informed that not only did i have a UTI but yes i do have a prolapsed uterus,, at this point i have no health insurance so this is double time scarry,, I am not sure what i am going to do yet,, I am 47,, already had a tubaligation 23 yrs ago,, and now I'm facing losing my uterus,, its somewhat overwhelming,, I dont know what to do. The Dr. said he didnt see a problem with having sex,, but i bleed everyday all the time, sometimes heavy, sometimes light,, and can visually see my cervix,, i dont think that is a good thing,, any advice????

Most hospitals have programs to help people out who do not have insurance or who can't afford to pay bills for medical care they need. I would talk to your dr. about scheduling a hysterectomy. Then talk to her office about setting up payments plans for her portion of payment and find out what hospital she performs in. Go to the finanacial department at that hospital and discuss the financial aspect. They can help you.

Thank you so much,, i am looking into options,, tried finding my own insurance policy,,, yea i would never be able to afford that with my income and its so sad that alot of policies dont cover hospital,, but i am checking into my options,, I want to thank you for your advice. Will keep posted about progress.
