Oh No! Not again!!

Hi Sisters,
I am so stressed! I just got my Lupron Injection Last Week ( #6 and My last!) Now a week later I was totally doubled over in pain and now I am Bleeding so much heavier than Before. I am having a TAH/BSO In a little more than 1 week, February 23. I haven't heard anything on my pre-op yet. and I am so scared now and more nervous than Before. What happens if I am still bleeding for my pre-op and what if I am still bleeding on the 23rd? I am ready to loose it for sure!. My boyfriend is very moody lately he doesn't want to talk about my pains or anything, He just says he wants my surgery over with so I can be pain free again. I am so scared now.

Scared to death,
Jo Jo

Oh No! Not again!!

I got my period on the night before my lap, which turned out to be exploratory surgery in my case, and it didn't make any difference. Give your doctor a call just in case though.

If you are having a lot of anxiety, first of all, that's normal. I asked my doctor for a prescription for anti-anxiety pills, that helped a lot.

Hi Jo Jo,

I am sorry you are worried about the bleeding. If you are bleeding for your surgery date they can still do the surgery most of the time. When you go to your Pre-op tell them how long and how much you have been going and they will do blood work to see what level you are. If you are too low they will have to post pone until the level goes up. I had a friend that her blood count was too low, they gave her some meds to try to stop her period and gave her iron supplements and she ate iron rich foods for a couple of weeks to bring it up.

It will be okay, you don't want to be weak when you go into surgery. They asked me to call them before the surgery if I bled for over a week and if it was heavy. I did not start before, but was real close to starting about the time of my surgery.

I will pray that the bleeding will stop or slow down a lot so you don't have to wait longer for your surgery.

It will work out and you will eventually have your surgery and should not be too long if there is a question on the blood count.
