Re: Very embarrassing personal care questions.

I have the same concerns. I am 250lbs and while normally very flexible not so much right now. Like you my husband said he will do whatever it takes, but I feel wiping me is above and beyond. I felt bad enough asking him to look at everything when I got home to know what "normal" should look like.

I have hemroids and in order to feel "clean" I normally hop in the shower and use a sprayer. I just plan to be extra careful with where I point the water. My sprayer snaps in and out of the shower head. It was about $10 and is made to be removeable and used for washing the dog and shower and such.

Re: Very embarrassing personal care questions.

these are all great ideas - thank you to all! I am feeling much less apprehensive now about this issue - and agree, while hubby would do (and has done) whatever it takes to help me, wiping me after a BM is *definitely* a request of very, very, very last resort -

The shower head add on sounds like a great idea. I just might have to do a bit of searching around for one like you talk about. Our shower is pretty old so I'm not sure buying on that I would have to remove the shower head to add on would be the best idea. I'm afraid with my luck I would just end up with a broken pipe sticking out of the wall. lol

Re: Very embarrassing personal care questions.

I know it was embarrassing to post this, but thank you for it. I have a bad back and am concerned about the same issue because of it. I'm not scheduled for a date yet, but am having an abdominal surgery. Even without surgery, I can't always get up and down to use the toilet when my back is flared up.
So, thanks for all the ideas!
