Natural remedies for adenomyosis ?

Hi ladies, I was just wondering if anyone has had luck with any natural remedies or supplements for adenomyosis and the pain it causes. I am scheduled for a hysterectomy on April 28th and am having second thoughts. Have been told it may go away after menopause but I'm still waiting. I'm 51 and not there yet. Thanks for any replies.

I personally didn't have any luck, I'm sorry. My symptoms progressively got worse until the pain wasn't manageable anymore, even while on drugs. I really did try natrual remedies first as I'm an organic kind of a person who believes wholeheartedly that they work. One of my doctors gave me some medical literature on the condition that prompted me to do my own research. Please just be aware that it doesn't always go away. I was reduced to a shell of a person by the time adenomyosis got the best of me, and I couldn't take it anymore. I am fresh out of the hospital and I am already so glad my unhealthy organs are gone and I never have to deal with it again. I wish you all the best of luck on whatever you decide. Many hugs

Natural remedies for adenomyosis ?

Thanks amyx173 for your reply. I appreciate all the feedback. I am just going through such a rough time emotionally with my decision right now. I have suffered off and on for 2 years with debilitating pain from suspected adenomyosis. I had an ablation in 2012 which took care of my bleeding and everything was good until 2 years ago when the labor like pelvic pain started during what would be my cycle. I had a hysteroscopy in January of this year to release trapped blood in my uterus from the ablation. After that I was good for about a month and then last month the pain came back. But for the last 2 weeks I have been pain free, so this is where all my second guessing starts. Not being in pain makes me wonder wether I should be doing this or not or will it come back. Just feeling very torn right now. Thanks for listening

Re: Natural remedies for adenomyosis ?

Hi dlynn51,
I really, honestly know how you feel. I am truly sorry for your pain, both physically and emotionally. It really is a big decision when it comes to having a hysterectomy and it shouldn't be taken lightly. I am only a few days out from my surgery and I already feel like a huge boulder sized weight has been lifted from my shoulders. For me the everyday pain I had was getting out of control and I had run out of options. It really helped me to do a lot of research on adenomyosis. It helped because I understood what I was actually dealing with, and whether or not I was able and or willing to hurt like that anymore. I wish you all the best with whatever you decide.

Natural remedies for adenomyosis ?

I suffered from severe deblitating pelvic pain for over 13 years. It was thought that I had endometriosis but I had really adenemyosis. It was diagnosed after my hysterectomy. I also had multiple fibroids and cyst's. I tried so many things to manage my pelvic pain to no avail. I also had periods of no pain, but it would eventually come back. I am 8 weeks post op today and feel amazing. I am doing things I couldn't do prior to my surgery like exercising and the best thing I am no longer in pain except for the tenderness from my surgery. This was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. I hope this helps.

Natural remedies for adenomyosis ?

I didn't have any pain a couple of weeks before my op either and wondered if I needed the surgery at all. I'm sure it your mind playing tricks on you after my surgery they checked everything out and I also had endo that they hadn't picked up on. I don't regret my surgery at all. Mine was 4 months ago and although the first couple of weeks recovery was uncomfortable, it was definitely worth it. Good luck with your decision
