When can you... "ehem"?

Alright, there's no getting away from it...

When is it O.K. to 'Bump Uglies', do the 'Horizontal Mambo', get 'Jiggy' with it?

waiting is the hardest part!?!...lol

i'm only 4 days postop; but last night snuggling with my fiancee, i was wondering the same thing. after surgery my doc put me on what he called "vaginal restrictions" for 4 weeks-- nothing inside the vagina. one of my first questions thursday when i go to get my staples out will be if i'm ok for oral sex! have to admit, it sure was nice to know that even if i'm not allowed to get into overdrive, at least the old engine still starts eva

Take your time with this. It is a normal thing to be told NOTHING vaginally for 6 to 8 weeks. There is alot of healing going on in there and you would not want to cause any complications etc. We have had a few who have given it a go abit too early and have paid the price by having complications or infections. i waited till I was 10 weeks post before even attempting, but then i was a little different as had a cath for the first 7 weeks. Best advice is to ask your surgeon and see what he/she says as they know the extent of surgery etc. Good luck and take it easy Hugs Vicki

When can you... "ehem"?

Hi, Cyster Ter,

You can have sex, by which we mean vaginal penetration after your doctor examines you and gives you the official medical OK.

If you do the deed before you doctor examines you, you are risking infection, bleeding, and even worse complications, which you really don't want to risk! So please wait until then.

Those of us with active imaginations have thought of other fun activities, not involving penetrating the vagina, to pass the time, while we wait. Ask your doctor, who has almost certainly heard it all before, and won't be offended, before trying those activities, though.

Best wishes,
