Re: POLL: How do you stay ♥ healthy?
Hello Sisters!
I have improved my diet with healthier snacks that include more fiber, less sugar, less salt, less meat, and way more water. 5 weeks out, and I am looking forward to feeling well enough, and being cleared for regular workouts beyond the walking I have been doing.
Also convincing myself to take it easy while I heal - meditation, and breathing exercises help. Writing is great too, to keep my thoughts moving. Very therapeutic.

Re: POLL: How do you stay ♥ healthy?
I eat healthy...I avoid processed foods, breads, cereals, pasta. I eat lean meats, fruits and veges. Lots of water. I found cutting out gluten has helped me with my thyroid issues. I became hypothyroid 6months postop. I excercise at least 5 times a week. I meditate to help with stress.

Re: POLL: How do you stay ♥ healthy?
I started taking Thrive 3 years ago. It helps with joint aches, body aches, energy, digestive issues, mood, patience, cravings. It's crazy how much it helps. It gives me the energy and motivation to be more active. <3
It's 2 capsules, a shake, and a wearable "patch" daily.
And I have 3 kids that keep me busy. Lol. Sports, and bike rides rule our summers.

I go to the gym 3+ days a week and watch what I eat - very little carbs, no caffein and/or soda, and drink more water than I ever did before surgery.

Re: POLL: How do you stay ♥ healthy?
Ah, well good. An easy question to answer while I wade into the community waters.
I'm a lacto-ova vegetarian with leanings toward raw vegan. Maybe one day I'll take the leap and be completely raw vegan. The hold back is... I love cookies. Real cookies with butter, eggs, flour and sugar. That and I like a splash of milk in my tea. I've given up so much I don't want to give that up too.
So, in addition to being a veggie, I take lots of supplements. The list is long and boring. But I credit those supplements with getting me through chemo.
The handful of other things I do include tai chi, yoga, reiki, meditation, prayer, 5 day a week workouts at the local muscle gym and trying desperately to not take myself too seriously. However, that last bit became difficult last June.

I walk a few miles a day and do some stretches. I hope to jog again once i'm cleared for it. Yoga eventually too.

Re: POLL: How do you stay ♥ healthy?
My daughter and I go on adventures, very short ones, as I run out of strength easily. Since she is a hospitality student we want to visit one view hotel every day and explore. We did our first one in a moderate one that I always wanted to see the inside. Since we live in a high tourist area, we have plenty of places to explore.
I calculated I walk 10,000 steps at work every day, so I need I need to get to that number.
Every day is a new adventure.

I am taking Vitamin D3, doing yoga, and only drinking Fiji water. Since I started these three things, I have been feeling much better.
