Some Pain at 6 weeks post op- Normal?????
Ok ladies I was wondering if there is any one out there that is 6 weeks post op and is still having some pains. I went to Dr. at 5 weeks and she said everything was healing fine. Did silver nitrate on vaginal cuff so stitches would dissolve. I guess they did I really don't know and I don't know how any one would know. Anyway I am still having some minor pain in my lower vaginal area. I can't even imagine having sex soon as they say you can at 6 weeks post op. I also exercise and I can't imagine doing that either. So if anyone is having the same problem let me know. If it doesn't get better by next week I am calling Dr. Still having slight discharge also. Every once in awile it is tainted red.

Some Pain at 6 weeks post op- Normal?????
Jeffswife:
I am a few days ahead of you and I still have pains. They are much better than even 5 weeks, but still. I have pain sometimes where my cervix used to be and I even have cramping at times. When I go out and live my life like I used to (grocery shopping, whatever) I come home with swelly belly. Today it is swollen up and above my naval, but I was out running errands and shopping for 5 hours!
Be patient. This all will go away. People heal at different times. Just know that you will be to your old self one day.

You're OK
Hi , I'm about a week ahead of you. I still have some of the kind of pain that you describe and occasionally a slight reddish discharge. At my 6 week check my doctor said I was healing well but not completely there yet. (In fact she put me on "pelvic rest" for 2 more weeks which is a polite way of saying 'no sex'.) So, like "Leaves" said, be patient and rest when you need to. Believe me, I know it's hard...I'm right there with you.
s and Blessings, Lisa

Some Pain at 6 weeks post op- Normal?????
Right there with you. If do what I need to do (kids, groceries, out and abou) I get exhausted and crash at around 5. DH has been great about cooking and cleaning. I seem to be leaking urine though if I bend over to feed the dog, etc. Grrrr.
I'm not in pain so much as I get tired. Dead dog tired. At night I can't sleep. I seem to be watching trash tv until 2 most nights, then waking up with sweats around 8. I still have both ovaries though.

Some Pain at 6 weeks post op- Normal?????
I am still having alot of back and hip pain. Also feels "sore" inside. Had granulation tissue had 5 weeks also. Still have slight discharge. Sometimes pain so bad that it scares me. Started back to work 1/2 days yesterday. Absoultley exhausted when getting home, have to go to bed for a few hours. I don't do well being down for the count and am disappointed that I am not feeling better by now.

Some Pain at 6 weeks post op- Normal?????
Let me just say this.....aren't we so much better than 1 or 2 weeks ago????
I know that I am and I bet you are too. I was so surprised it took me so long to recover (and I still am). But as they say....it is major surgery. So what are we??? Superwomen?? I always thought I was until this. I had never had surgery before so it was an eye opener for me.
Let us be grateful for this recovery......however it is.
You are in my prayers.
Love,
C

Some Pain at 6 weeks post op- Normal?????
Hi to all of you ladies! I was so glad to come upon this thread. I am 6 almost 7 weeks out and I have the same things going on. Dead tired, swelly belly and some times feel like my guts are going to fall out. I think I may look into the band that they have for the swelly belly. I am so glad to read that I am NORMAL! It is frustrating though when you want to be super woman and it doesn't work out that way. I hope it goes away soon and I can feel normal with myself, and with my husband. Maybe even some day I will wear something else besides P.J'! Take care! Clan6

Some Pain at 6 weeks post op- Normal?????
Hi ladies
Thought it was just me!!
I am six weeks and still get crampy in the afternoons and sooooo tired. I also have trouble still sitting up straight like at a table or desk (dont know if it is the vaginal cuff) causing the discomfort. We dont have check up until 8 to 12 weeks post op so dont even have an appointment yet to ask questions.
Glad i'm not alone.
