Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

It is on the cool side this morning and cold in the building too.

I am leaving early today at noon. Dd has an appt with the dentist. This is at the office that did her implant. her teeth are in to try on and see if they are going to work...fit, etc. Once the fit is right, they will make the permanent teeth.

Not much going on this evening. Dd's school has a Day of the Dead event going on from 6 to 8pm. Not sure if she wants to drop by.

The concert was great!! Each of the choir groups did really well. Dd said she wasn't nervous she just enjoyed herself. i think she did a fine job in her first performance in her new group. It was very well attended too.

I should be able to send some pics in the next day or so. Dh offloaded the pictures from my camera. They are pics from Homecoming dance and the concert last night.

Hyper- glad that you got things done at home and had time to relax as well. How has your arm been feeling? I'm excited that your PTO for Thansgiving was approved. Even better that it is your weekend off. Hooray for 6 days off!!!

Have a good day!!!

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

Today I got to go to a play with some of our residents. It was "bridge to tarabithia" It was a good play. By the time I got back it was already lunchtime. We don't have any plans for this evening. I'm not sure what I'll make for supper. I've been trying to decide but I have a mind block. I'll think of something.

Tomorrow I will leave work at 11:00 for my follow up appt. with the orthopedic specialist. I'm hoping for good news. My shoulder feels much better. I do have slight pain, but not every day.

Scrapper glad the concert went well. It sounds nice. I would love to see the pics of homecoming and the concert! Hope all went well with dd's appt.

Have a nice day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

Happy Friday!! I have to leave work early again today. We have to head back to the dentist. We were there so long yesterday. The temporary teeth piece kept breaking and they kept trying to fix it in the lab (they have an on-site lab) but it wasn't working. So they were going to work on it last night to fix it. We have to be there at 11am. So I came to work for a couple of hours and dd can't miss her statistics class. So I will pick her up at 9:45. We just hope that we don't have a long wait today. I won't be coming back to work it is just too far to come back.

We ended up picking dinner up last night. What we were going to have for dinner last night we will have today. I told dd last night that we are going to treat ourselves to some frozen yogurt today. She said "yes we deserve it" after our busy week.

We don't have a whole lot planned for the weekend. Tomorrow we are going to an Autumn Festival that one of the local parks is having. Then we will see what else. I want to make another scrapbook frame for a friend who's baby turned 1 year old. We also need to buy candy for Halloween and a pumpkin for dd to carve.

Hyper - how nice that you got to go to a play. I saw that movie and it was good. So I am sure that your day went by quickly yesterday. You are funny with your mind block for supper...what did you end up making. I sometimes get that way not knowing what to make. Hope you get good news from your doctor appt.

Have a great weekend.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

It's Friday! Yay! I went to my doctors appt. He said since it hasn't gotten worse and it feels much better chances are very good that there aren't any tears. So he cleared me for regular duty starting next week. He said once I resume my regular duties, if the pain comes back to call and then they would schedule an MRI, but if all is well I won't need to be seen again. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

BDS is going to the High School Halloween dance with a group of his friends tonight. Other than that we don't have anything on the agenda for this evening. Tomorrow I'm planning to sleep in and tomorrow evening a vendor of DH's is taking us and DH's boss and his wife out for dinner. Sunday we will go to church, lds and dd sing. Then we will pick up our pumpkins and carve them.

Scrapper I hope they were able to fix dd's tooth today. Frozen yogurt sounds like the perfect reward for a busy week. I ended up just putting in some frozen pizza's for supper last night. That is always a hit with the kids.

Have a great weekend, talk to you next week.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

Happy Halloween!

My boss is back from her vacation. She said she had a great time and she looks very rested. she is catching up on her mail and email. I'm sure as the day progresses I will get more work.

We had a very nice weekend. Friday at dd's dentist appt. she finally got her permanent teeth. We are done. She is very happy with the results. We were done about 1pm. So we went and had lunch, stopped at the pumpkin patch, went to the gym, and ran a few errands. The last stop was our frozen yogurt...which was so good!!

The rest of the weekend was spent mostly at home. We watched TV and caught up on some shows, I did laundry, marketing and a few other things. Yesterday we went to church and then late afternoon went to meet my dad & sisters for dinner.

Hyper - that is great news about your shoulder. I hope that it continues to improve and feel better. Hope you got to sleep in over the weekend. We did and Friday night went to bed earlier than normal as we were tired from the week. I'm sure the kids had fun carving their pumpkins. Dd carved hers on Saturday evening and put it out on the porch that night. It came out cute. Have a fun evening tonight...hope the kids have fun.

We are going to meet at my sister & dad's place. We will have dinner, give candy out and then take dd & my niece out for a little while.

Have a good day off.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

We had a good weekend. Friday evening bds went to the high school halloween dance. He had a good time. On Saturday we relaxed for awhile during the day then dh and I left to go out for our business dinner. We went to a nice steak house. The food was so good. Sunday morning we went to church. It was reformation Sunday and the school sang with the senior choir. They did a really nice job. After church we stopped and got our pumpkins. Our neighbor and her daughter invited dd to go to see the movie Dolphin Tale. She said it was good. When she got back we carved the pumpkins.

Today after I dropped the kids to school I went to target for awhile. DD needed some new jeans as hers are getting too short. I found two pair. I hope she likes them. Now that she's getting older I never know. I usually have her pick her own things now, but sometimes I still run out and pick it up for her since our shopping places are not close to our house. I got some socks for myself. Then I stopped and got a few groceries. I am doing a load of laundry. When I pick the kids up I will take lds and dd trick or treating downtown. Every year they have trick or treating at the business's in our downtown from 3-5. They always get alot of candy before they even go our for their evening trick or treating. I know they will be excited for tonight. I'll be sure to take a picture of them in their costumes. I don't know it I mentioned, but the dads in our neighborhood take the kids out trick or treating, so dh and the other dads will be taking the kids out. I will stay home and give out candy.

Scrapper your weekend sounds nice and relaxing. Glad all went well with dd's appt and she finally got her permanent teeth. I did get to sleep in on Saturday and Sunday I got to sleep later than I do for work. Glad your boss had a good time on vacation, it always seems to refresh you when you take vacation.

Have a fun evening and Happy Halloween!

Today is was back to regular duty at work. The day just flew by. So far my shoulder still feels o.k. I'm hoping it will stay that way. Nothing on the agenda for this evening. I'm making spaghetti for supper.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

My boss is out ill today. She came back from vacation with a cold. She sounded pretty congested when she called me this morning. It hasn't been too bad today.

During lunch I went over to the flower mart. I bought 2 bouquets of sunflowers...one for home and one for my best friend. I will see her at the gym this evening.

We had a nice time last night at my dad & sister's. Dh came by after work too. After dinner we took my niece & dd out. The new tenants at my sister's joined us as well. I took a few pictures so I will share as soon as we off load them from the camera. The tenants dd (the youngest is 2) and she was dressed as Dorothy as well. she looked adorable. I took a pciture of her & dd...cute. We ran out of candy...there were lots of kids.

Not much going on this evening. I will make steaks when I get home and then we will head to the gym. I know that dd and I need to sit and go over the packet she got for announcements, etc. It is due on Thursday. I just need to pay a deposit of $60 right now.

Hyper - your weekend sounds like it was fun and relaxing. Nice tha tbds had a good time at the Halloween dance. The steak house dinner sounds delicious. Yes, Dolphin Tale was a good movie. Sounds like dd is having a growth spurt. I know what you mean about wondering if dd will like what you bought her. I sometimes pick up things for dd and wonder if she will like it. So far I have been lucky that she does. did dd like the jeans? That is nice that the businesses downtown set a time for trick or treating. That is cool that the dads take the kids out. Glad your shoulder is feeling Ok after a day of regular duty.

Have a good evening.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Hi ladies,

Today when I dropped lds and dd at school I had to go in and sign up for parent teacher conferences. I signed up for the evening of the 15th. Luckily I was able to get them back to back. Then I stopped and got some groceries. The lutheran girl pioneers bake sale is Sunday so I got the things I need to make my donation. I'm making banana bread and pumpkin bread which are in the oven now, then I'm making 2 doz. chocolate chip cookies. I have a load of laundry going. When I'm done baking and with my laundry I should have some time to watch a couple shows I have taped.

I'm making cheeseburger macaroni for supper. It will be early to bed for me. My work asked me if I could come in at 5:45 tomorrow morning. We have a resident who is having a colonoscopy and I will be going along with him. The transportation service will be picking us up at 6:00. I'm bringing a book along because I will be waiting for awhile for him to be done. We got some good news at work. We have had a pay freeze for the last 3 years. We found out we are getting a cost of living raise on our next paycheck. It is only 2% but it is better than nothing I suppose.

Scrapper your halloween sounds like it was fun. How cute that the 2 year old was dressed as dorothy as well. I would love to see the pics. I will share mine as well, when my dh off loads ours. DD did like the jeans I picked for her, so I was glad about that. I'm usually lucky with the jeans I get her, it's the tops that she doesn't always like what i pick.

Have a good day.

Re: Hysterectomy dates Oct 01-Oct 08,2007

Good morning ladies,

I'm feeling sleepy this morning. It was cool this morning too. The next couple of days are going to be true fall days.

Last night after dinner dd and I sat down to look at her graduation packet. We know what we need and she wants a few items...like a zip up hoodie that says "senior" written across the front; and a necklace that says class of 2012. Since she doesn't want a class ring that is why I am getting her these extra things. Tonight we will fill out the order form and I will give her the deposit. Packets are due tomorrow and Friday.

She was also busy with her draft of her senior project research paper. They have to turn it in online no later than midnight on Friday. She has made good progress on it.

Today I have to leave 30 minutes early as I have a doctor appt. My podiatrist referred me to get diabetic shoes. They are ready for pick up. I am making lemon pepper chicken breasts today.

Dh off loaded the homecoming pictures so I will be able to send them this evening. The Halloween pics are on dd's camera so I will have dh offload those.

We found out that we have to take 4 furlough days. We have to take them between January and June of next year. I like to take them when dd has a day off that I don't get with our district. I will take them on a Friday or Monday...must take advantage of 3 day weekends.

Hyper - that is good that you were able to get the parent conferences back to back. I'm sure your house smells so good with the baking you are doing. Both breads sound so yummy....they go great with a good cup of coffee...LOL. Wow...that is early that you have to be at work tomorrow morning. Great idea to take a book to read while you are waiting. I agree that 2% is better than nothing. Glad dd liked the jeans you picked out. I agree that tops are harder to pick for them.

Enjoy your day and watching your shows.
