UFE and questions

Brief history: Oct 2012 I went to doc for heavy bleeding and found out I had a 5cm fibroid. She gave me many options, and I chose to have the Mirena IUD. This helped to an extent. My periods were longer, but I didn't have the heavy bleeding so I was ok with it. Fast forward to Nov 2013. All of a sudden I had heavy bleeding with huge clots (a lot worse than it was prior to the Mirena). I had another ultrasound and my fibroid grew to 7cm. She felt that I shouldn't try Lupron, due to the fact that I'm only 33. So, she suggested a hysterectomy. I asked her about UAE and she said that it was worth a try. She said that I would have to have a MRI to see if I was eligible. So, I had the MRI the week before Christmas. They called me to schedule the consult appt for the UAE and sent me literature about the procedure, so I assume I'm eligible?

Do most people have success with the procedure? The only thing keeping me from a hysterectomy is the longer time off work. I know everyone is different but how is the recovery from the UAE? I'm a single mom, so I need to plan accordingly. How long should I expect to need to have help caring for the kids? They are 6 and 9 1/2, so they can help take care of themselves somewhat. I've heard that I would need 1-2 weeks off work. Does that sound about right? I have a desk job, so it's not much physically involved. How is the bleeding post UAE? What does the fibroid tissue look like when it passes? I've had some tissue pass with my clots and wonder if it is part of the fibroid, even though I haven't had anything done yet.

I typically have a hard time recovering from surgery because the pain meds make me very nauteous.

Anything I should ask about in my consult appt? I think I understand the procedure well enough. I just wanted to get some "real life" experience here too.
