Wow! That's pretty cool!
It's amazing what can be done now with such tiny equipment!

I'm frustrated a bit because I am starting to feel good, energy is still low, but not terrible... but I'm struggling with heart palpitations, and they are driving me crazy! I had 2 bad episodes about 1 week post-op where they started at night, lasted for an hour and the kind of continued mildly most of the next day. I went to my GP and had the gamut of tests: ekg, blood work, echocardiogram, holter monitor. Nothing major was found. (some slight issues with irregularities in the electrical impulses... but supposedly somewhat common.) My surgeon thought that HRT might resolve them.

Well, I've been on HRT for just over a week now and had an awful day today with the palpitations. They started up at 10pm last night and have been off and on all day today.

I know the tests were all clear, but I still find this very scary! And very uncomfortable! And it seems like my doc isn't very clear on the relationship between estrogen and heart palpitations.

Has anyone else experienced long stretches of palpitations like this? (off and on for hours or a whole day?) Did they eventually calm down as you settled into HRT? Its making me tired and anxious and I'm feeling pretty down. I feel almost as though I've traded one set of problems for another...
I'd love any stories of similar experiences or advice for things that helped you to calm your palpitations when they happened...
Okay, this EXACT THING is happening to me. It happened maybe a week after my hysterectomy and I thought I was dying. I went to the doctor and had EKG and I had JUST had an ECG before the surgery and they found nothing wrong. But they thought that it was my hormones messing with my heart rhythm. But, I'm now five months out and I'm STILL HAVING THEM. And the worst part? I have ONE ovary left, and even after hormone testing they say that it's doing its job. So maybe I'm just not getting enough estrogen? Even though the labs say I'm "normal"? Because I never had the extra sinus rhythm before, and I've had MANY surgeries that never left me with this either. It's got to be the hormones, right?!?!?!?

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this... [[hugs]]
Obviously I'm no expert since I'm here asking all of you!
Have you talked to your GP about the palpitations? My doc called it "diagnosis by elimination..." They can't really prove that the hormones ARE causing the palpitations, so they need to prove that nothing else serious is doing it and then they can guess that they can blame the hormones.
My GP was awesome about getting me scripts for an echocardiogram and a holter monitor. It didn't make the palps go away, but it sure did tone down my anxiety about them. Always good to get it checked out when it's your heart in my mind... Plus, it might make you feel better.

Right now I believe it’s the change in hormones. I’ve never had any issues. Obviously they were running a ECG during the surgery and there was no concerns. Will be interesting to see what the monitoring shows. The holter monitor mentioned is a short time frame test. New way is to wear a small device for 14 days that sends your readings constantly. Since this is obviously something experienced after a hysterectomy for a lot of people I don’t know why they don’t reassure people that is it right away...

Going through same thing again.....faster heart rate....did the monitor again. Now on BP meds and blood thinner, plus iron because that was very low. Never had any of these issues before. My sister going through exact same thing after cervical cancer, chemo, rads.....fast heart rate....she has all same meds plus calcium and magnesium......
