Totally random, but I named mine "Tracy." I really have no idea why!

Re: Has anyone named their fibroid?

We took a poll at work (I work with all women) and we named mine Howard.

Re: Has anyone named their fibroid?

I had many, many fibroids and I just referred to them as the "Alien Babies." I had my surgery in January, and apparently when I first woke up from anesthesia I kept asking if the alien babies were all gone. The nurses didn't know what to think.

Re: Has anyone named their fibroid?

OMG, this thread is too funny.
I sometimes referred to them as the baby ("time to get this baby outta here already"), espcially after I was compared to being 14 weeks pregnant. But that was just between DH and I. I'm sure other people wouldn't understand/be offended, or possibly misunderstand and think I am actually pregnant at 45.
Even though this mess is all caused by the fibroids, I still blame "Flo", even though she used to give me no grief long ago. But now we call her all sorts of nasty names. lol. It's a bit of a running joke between DH and I that Flo is coming to town, and maybe if we go on vacation she won't find us, or that we can leave her at the inlaws. I always enjoy telling him each month that Flo has packed her bags and left.
So now we are both excited that Flo will be packing one last time and never coming back ever again!!!! I can hardly wait for that day! I swear we're going to throw Flo a goodbye (good riddance) party! woohoo! ...oh, and those alien babies too.... LOL

Re: Has anyone named their fibroid?

I didn't name my fibriod (I THINK there was only one!) because it took back seat to the tumor on my ovary, but I love the names people picked out here!

I DID have a "Food Bucket List" though, and my family had a lot of fun with it! I exercised about 5-6 days a week before my surgery and we only ate whole grains, fruits and veggies, lean meats, etc. So when I wondered whether I might die or not (you know how the worst goes through your mind!), I decided that I didn't want to go without eating all the junk that I love! So when we drove by a Starbucks my boys would say, "Hey mum, is a java chip on your bucket list?" "YEP!" We ate caramel cadbury eggs and fried potatos, lots of soda and all kinds of things. It probably wasn't the smartest thing to do healthwise, but it really eased the stress and tension of the situation ... and boy did we have a ball! lol
