Bso???????

I have been posting in here a little and reading alot, but I am confused as to what a BSO is. On my pathology report it said that I had a TAH/BSO. I even put that in my signature, but I haven't a clue as to what it means.
I know I should have asked or my doctor should have explained, but I just never seem to remember to ask him.

thanks

Thanks alot. My mom tried to tell me that it might mean that I had my appendix removed, but I did not have them taken. That is about the only thing I could remember to ask my dd today. I know it is normal to have some memory problems, but I have felt just plain stupid today!!!! hahahaha

What a BSO is...

A BSO stands for Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy. It means both Fallopian tubes and both ovaries have been removed.
Nope, nothing to do with your appendix!!
